| Suds_McDuff (29), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, Texas | | September 22, 2007 [ Updated July 7, 2008 ] Been a bunch of times, but had some great times when Saint Arnold’s released a keg of Divine Reserve #5 and the only cask of 2007 Oktoberfest! The service is quite good, friendly, and the beer selection for this part of town really is super! (hell, they still had divine #4 bottles!) ..
The food is also very tasty, some of the best chicken tenders ever, and the pizza’s are thick, full, and delicious!!
Great stop if you are in the area, but don’t drive more than 25 mins to get here.. | Delirium (4), Santa Cruz, California does not count - explanation | | January 7, 2006 The main draw is the best selection of beer in southeast Houston, and probably anywhere in Houston other than the Flying Saucer downtown. The ambience is nice; a laid-back place with a very varied clientele ranging from 20-year-olds to 60-year-olds. There’s a large bar area with multiple rows of bars on one side, lots of tables in the rest of the restaurant, a patio, and darts in the back; all that allows for simultaneously accomodating a bunch of different crowds. The food is pretty good for a bar/restaurant, and the Thursday night crab special is particularly popular (and ridiculously crowded). Definitely recommended if you live on this side of Houston; might be worth the occasional drive otherwise. |
