October 23, 2009 Surprisingly civilized from the inside in spite of seeming a generic characterless modern brewpub. Unbeatable location with wrap-around outdoor patio overloking Hoan Kiem lake and surrounding hustle and bustle. Friendly staff. Free WiFi. One TV inside for sports. Reasonably priced. Local crowd. Beer is served at good temperature, not too cold. Above average quality but only two were available when we were there (lager and dunkel). |

September 22, 2009 I was here a couple of times as I was staying not far away in the Hoan Kiem district. The outside area is pleasant to watch the hustle and bustle of the city streets below, and with the stifling humidity filling the streets the beers went down extremely quickly. I wouldn’t go for the food as it’s crappy fried everything, and there’s so many excellent restaurants around the city. But do stop by for the beers, and being in a central location it’ll probably be your first stop anyway. |

March 1, 2009 Central location with view to Hoan Kiem Lake. Legend Beer has actually three locations in Hanoi. Place is in the second floor of corner building. Food was ok. Service average. A bit rundown feeling. Beers were brewed to "typical" Vietnamese-Czech-German style. |

May 30, 2008 [ Updated March 2, 2009 ] Outlet for Legend Beer brewed at the brewpub in Đống Đa. An upstairs restauarnt overlookin Hoàn Kiếm lake in central Hanoi. As more or less every beer establishment in Hanoi the personell seem to outnumber the guests, so service is rapid. The beer is German style and pretty well made. |

March 26, 2007 Right at the center of Hanoi ina very busy junction. Its worth a visit just for the junction. The beer is ok - but reminds me a lot of Apollo (Copenhagen) - too much butter. |

August 8, 2006 Hanois best brewpub (of the ones I know of) and that tells a lot when they only had 2 beers available - a lager and a dunkel. Both though were quite nice and definately something different from what you find on bottle in Vietnam! The location is great overlooking the Hoan Kiem Lake and it has air condition too :-) |
