To get here you must take a lift up from a beer bottle-filled lobby located across from the Opera House. The views from upstairs are fantastic and offer welcome respite from the streets. The interior is total urban lounge. There is a long blue-lit bar area with pool table, and a large relaxed restaurant/lounge section with cushy seats. It all looks swank but is actually casual and friendly. The beer menu is fun with refreshing choices including Trappist ales and surprises like the Liefmans Gluhkriek. They take their beer more seriously than you would expect although it’s by no means geeky. Proper glassware is used. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and the beer is stored and served properly. Food is decent.
