Went for dinner on a busy night. Had a pint in the bar while waiting for a table. Service pretty much sucked once we got a table. The selection was pretty good but overpriced ($18 for last years WWS) some of the drafts were really expensive too. Did get to try the 75 min and Lawnmower though. Basically tried stuff that you can only get at the Alehouse. Might go back for the beer or maybe the food which was ok, hopefully the service would be better next time though.

This place is totally a restaurant, but the bar is big enough to accommodate more than a few drinkers. They had a very wide list of Dogfish head beers and some different stuff than was at the brewpub location. They also had some interesting things in bottles... Immortale, Olde School, Budweiser, Fort, Theobrama, Miller Lite. The decor in here is nice and the staff although sparse and spread a little thin was very friendly and made sure that I knew what I was ordering when I got a Pangea and a Festina Peche.

I went in there looking for a deep dish pizza, but got some beer instead. I was looking forward to visiting one of the DF Alehouses for quite awhile. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The decor was pretty average but the service was good. The bar staff seemed knowledgeable about the beers. There were only DF beers on tap (no surprise there) but with the exception of the Lawnmower, you can get it all in the store. What really surprised me was the price. $6.25 a pint?? And that’s for the cheaper stuff! If you want a bottle of Sahtea or the like, forget about it. You can pay a third of the price at your local beer store. Unfortunately you really aren’t missing anything if you skip this one.

We were visiting from Dallas & by Dallas bar standards this place is pretty neat. It’s like an upscale TGI Fridays (ie- crap on the walls) but with a much better atmosphere & an impressive menu. We only shared a burger but it was outstandingly grilled perfect to order. The selection of Dogfish Head beer is terrific & the bartender was very passionate, knowledgeable & friendly. The sampler was a great way to try several brews & was reasonably priced. The Alehouse 75 (blend of 60 & 90 min) was terrific. We would definitely return whenever back in the area.

Well I love DFH the brewery, so you’ve got to figure the ale house has to be cool by association. You can definitely tell this place used to be an UNO’s, so the ambiance is somewhat lacking. The service is good. The food hasn’t wowed me yet, but I’ve never left hungry either. The main attraction are the DFH brews. The place keeps a respectable selction of vintage DFH offerings at respectable prices. I have been surprised that the Ale House doesn’t always have everything offered by the brewery.

Went on Friday for a quick beer and a late lunch. Supremely fast service relatively nice priceing and a good burger and good chili. Gotta say this a solid chain version of a a dogfish brew pub. Good vibe cool art and I enjoyed it very much!

I was expecting much more from this pub. They had their normal offerings on tap as well as a seasonal. The bottled beers were too expensive to buy there, id rather buy it at the market and enjoy them at home. The food wasn’t very special, i got a pizza and would have rather made a Digorno. Blah, there is no reason to go here unless you really enjoy the draught beer. I however will drink it in the bottle at a place of my choosing.

One of the best brewpubs in Northern Virgina. The bar area of the restaurant could be larger with better access to televisions, but the beer selection is fantastic. Service is always strong, particularly in the bar. Good spectacular.

The ambiance is merely adequate, the food and service are merely OK, but the DFH beers are excellent! The bottled offerings are simply too expensive, but the drafts are consistently good and more reasonably priced. I usually go just for the beer, so for me the shortcomings don’t matter.

The food was great. We really enjoyed this place, the food prices were reasonable. Some of the beer prices were high. They were out of the few we really wanted to try, but overall a great place and would definitely return when ever in the Arlington area. Could bring one to Virginia Beach and we would be in heaven.
