| potbeercollege (11), Boulder, Colorado | | September 20, 2009 Great brews... great location....great beer drinkers all around | | MaltDawg (11), Richmond, Virginia | | September 13, 2009 Richmond institution. Laid back atmosphere. Stock beers are solid. Seasonals are hit or miss but the brewers are always trying and some have been exceptional. Staff are friendly, food is good, and service is usually excellent. | | radagast83 (43), Fairfax, Virginia | | September 12, 2009 Went there for lunch and the brewery tour. Food was good, sat on the patio. Beer was good, tasted fresh - better than in the bottles. Tour was nice and we decided to sit at he bar afterwards. Staff was nice, helpful. Certainly a place to check out while in Richmond. | amp811 (2), Charleston, South Carolina does not count - explanation | | March 18, 2009 There for a high school reunion, it was fantastic. Pretty good service; we had a pitcher of a beer that we just really couldn’t stand (we tried really hard) but they replaced it and gave us a different beer. Thanks, guys.
Many different beers to try, and they couldn’t get any fresher. Their wings are pretty good too. Perfect place to get together with friends. Gorgeous view on the patio. | | beachbum25 (53), Powellville, Maryland | | October 17, 2008 Stopped here for lunch on a weekday afternoon, service was good even though they were short handed-probably because I was @ the bar. At least the bartender let me know what was going on so I wasn’t in the dark, & I could see she was running her ass off! Food was good pub grub, had a Club Sandwich & Fries. Beers were pretty good overall $8 f/a sampler of 6-she gave me the 2 seasonals as a bonus. Nice outside deck would be a great gathering place in the evening, was a little too hot for me when I was there. Found this place quite enjoyable & I would be sure to stop if you are in Richmond. | | dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | June 13, 2008 Can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Beer can be inconsistent, but there’s usually something good and they’ll let you sample. Friendly service. Great outside deck with a nice view of the river and downtown. Pub food is tasty but not great. | Gus (2), Chesapeake, Virginia does not count - explanation | | February 9, 2008 Having been drinking Legends Beer for awhile, allways good from the bottle. Wanted to try some on tap. Overall atmosphere was pretty laid back, very easy going and good quality of service. The beer was the main reason for stopping, which was great. Tried some brats with the brown ale and will do this again. The IPA was better on tap then from the bottle. The staff seemed to know about the different styles on tap and answered our questions. Overall value was very reasonable and food was above average. Good place to stop and have a few with some friends. | | Butters (150), Virginia | | February 1, 2008 Pretty nice little brewpub. Tasty beers - especially some of their seasonals. decent pub grub. I just find it a bit pricy. I can get nearly all their standard beers cheaper at other bars in the area. If you are a fan of their beers, i’d recommend visiting the Green Leafe Cafe in Williamsburg on Tuesdays - you can get a pitcher of several Legend beers for 5 bucks, rather than spending $5-$8 a glass at the brewery. | | EKGoldings (12), Radford, Virginia | | September 26, 2007 Pretty good beer, excellent food, excellent service. Ugly place inside but a nice place to come with friends. The patio is excellent when weather is cool enough to enjoy. | | Aurelius (89), Tallahassee, Florida | | September 20, 2007 An industrial feel to the place, located in the warehouse district. Nice big patio, so it’s cool on a nice Virginia autumn or spring day, I bet. Think that it used to be an old welding shop or something - cinderblock. Good service, didn’t eat. Fair beer. All of the beer available in bombers. |
