I’ve enjoyed the Black Rooster on occasion. The best experience was on New Years Day, a friend and I were waiting for my wife to return from a business trip and found this to be the only open pub in midtown DC. We were the only customers, and the bartender and servers greeted us warmly and told us all about the bar and gave us a few free drinks and food! Really like the authentic Welsh woodwork! While the selection isn’t outstanding, the ambiance is pretty good!

Not a bad place to jump in out of the hustle and bustle and grab a beer in the city. Service was friendly and the decor is that of a British Pub, or at least an Americanized version therein.
