Prymal (1), Kennewick, Washington does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2008 This is a great Northwest Gem, it is in a great easy to find easy to park location. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. With as they say over 850 beers there is something for anyone. Even my wife who does not drink beer found something of interest. Just based on selection and easy of access i will be going here for all of my beer needs. | | AmEricanbrew (65), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana | | July 12, 2008 Nice, clean, well organized store. Huge Northwest craft beer selection, now including Ninkasi from Oregon, which i have not seen before in Wa. They get some beers from a distributer in Vancouver, who carries brews not available to King County wholesalers. Prices are on par with Seattle area bottle shops. Only thing lacking here is a decent lambic selection, no 3 Fonts, Cantillon, Boon or Fantome in the store. Too many BMC swillers in South King Co. i suppose. Overall a great beer store and well worth the drive from Seattle or other far off locations. | dirt55 (4), Washington does not count - explanation | | May 28, 2008 Very large selection (they say 850) of pretty much half domestic micros and half imports. pretty surprised with how reasonable the prices were considering the location and the selection offered, staff wasn’t as friendly as expected, but knowledgeable when asked about products (not to say he wasn’t unfriendly...just there.) Will go back many times. | robforbes (3), Bremerton, Washington does not count - explanation | | April 8, 2008 excellent place!!! being that i live 64 miles away and there is not much to choose from on the kitsap pennisula, i’ve been there 5 times and each time is enjoyable. the prices are very reasonable, and the staff and owners are always helpfull. | | theisti (71), Leawood, Kansas | | March 19, 2008 Visited right before closing time on a Wednesday night. Peter, who helped me, was good about allowing me to take my time, and pointed a couple of beers he thought I would like. As mentioned by others, this store is laid out nicely, with plenty of space to move around. Really nice selection of local micros, certainly on par with Bottleworks. For reference, this took me about 15 minutes from the Seattle airport. | | after4ever (86), Brier, Washington | | February 2, 2008 [ Updated February 3, 2008 ] Big place in a busy strip mall. *Right* off I-5 maybe a block and a red light away, for those of you from out of town. Plenty of parking, but on this Saturday morning, there was very little actual available parking. Big place with probably 14 coolers, all well-organized with lane splitters, catch rings, and hang tags with flag of country/state of origin, brewery, name, description, abv, style, and price info. Nice touch. Must have taken ages to get all that ready at first. There are shelves with more beer at room temp, about 5 coolers’ worth of space. Also hot sauces, mustards, t-shirts, and glasses up front. The beer’s well cared for. The prices are lower than Seattle’s, pretty much across the board. Maybe 5-15% less. Lower rents in Fed Way I guess. They definitely dig up stuff that you don’t see in Seattle, probably 10-15 beers that haven’t shown up up here, maybe even more than that. Service was a big indifferent the day I was in, but they were super busy and I really don’t require much in the way of guidance or chit chat most of the time.. | | fakepurseninja (33), Sammamish, Washington | | August 5, 2007 [ Updated September 23, 2008 ] A great place to get unique, local, single bottles. Very well laid out store, nice clean and clear refers with lots of the bottle racks labled with ratings and tasting notes. Nice drinkware section as well. Staff did not seem very helpful and bordered on the ambivalent end of the customer service spectrum. I am a fan of their punch-card promotion, I am a sucker for a free -tshirt.
10/22/2007 - The more I stop by the friednlier the staff get so I am raising my Service score from a 3 to a 7. The selection of west coast brews continues to expand as well with lots of singles that are new to me. This place has Bar None the best selection of american ales in the state of washington. | ipa_eric (6), does not count - explanation | | June 1, 2007 Sure, it’s not bottleworks. That’s just fine. I can actually SEE in this place and it is close to home.
Craig and Tiffany are extremely friendly and their selection is top-notch. It also appears to be growing every time I visit.
They have regular tastings - check their website - of which I have been to one. It was very enjoyable and informative. | | mreeves (33), Sammamish, Washington | | May 6, 2007 Nice clean, mall location. Very well-lit, spacious, organized. Great selection, though not yet quite up to Bottleworks standards. Prices were reasonable. Overall, a great place to pick up some beer. Nice people working there. | | BrewDad (188), Olympia, Washington | | March 12, 2007 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] What a great new store. Clean and bright and easy to move around this was a great place. The store owner was there he helped me find some beers and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. This is a great place plenty of parking lots of beers over 500 now going to try to get over 850+. They have tasting sessions and those look to be and will be a blast. This is a great new beer store that will become a regular stop for me going to Seattle. Easy to find off of I-5 Be sure to sing up for there email list you get lots of great deals and tasting party notices. | View Page : 1 2
