The 4th Ave Tavern has been a staple in Oly for years, but really... Why? Not the cleanest place, nor is the service the best... really this place is all about the combinations of each small part that gives it it’s "charm"?

I guess if freak watching is what you want to do then this here’s the place in Oly. Was unpleasantly surprised at how nasty the butch crowd was on a particular thus night. Beer selection is very mediocre. Nowhere near as friendly and laid back as the Eastside.

Well as the Bartender T-Bone said it best, “You may come to drink but you stay to watch the Freaks…” This was an old beer bar that has about 20 beers on tap. It is a hole in the wall but has some character. Not bad for beer the food was OK the music was loud and filled with everyone from Olympia that was odd or not. A different crowd from a yuppie to the nerd from the state to the oddball who was batting for the other team. This place had them all. A must see in Olympia but just remember see it leave and go to any of several other beer places in town within walking distance.
