| jbuzz (25), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | September 23, 2009 The place itself isnt much building wise. But if you are into train stuff as i am you’ll find it a blast.
The food is great as is the service !! And the brews are good as well. I’ll be back for more next time i am in Green Bay. | | esjaygee (105), Oak Creek, Wisconsin | | August 15, 2009 Old train station located near the water in downtown GB. Lots of interesting posters line the wall and the place had a nice feel to it. Our waitress was ultra friendly and while she didn’t know much about the beer, she did go back and ask questions about it. The food was decent but not great. The beer probably falls into the same category too, though much better than Legends and they had 11 types on tap here. | | BeerBelcher (130), Columbus, Ohio | | May 1, 2009 [ Updated May 5, 2009 ] I stayed downtown this trip, which was a short walk across the river from Titletown, which is also conveniently located across the street from Hinterland’s. Titletown is in a bit of a run-down old train-station. While a lot of brewpubs have gone very upscale (some would say too much so - the Milwaukee Hinterland would be a good example), this place is closer to a dive masquerading as something more sophisticated. I had the beer on cask, Johnny Blood Red, which was lousy. But then I had another beer at the suggestion of one of the other bar-flies (prexy of the local homebrew club) called Hop Monster which was delicious. I ate here as well - I was tired of burgers and went for the pasta carbonara, which was not very good. The kid behind the bar was friendly and very eager to talk about beer. The place really cleared out by 10pm on a Thursday night, but had a pretty young clientele. Not a bad place; I was comfortable here, the beer was good, food lousy, and service competent. I’d recommend. | | SHANER4 (16), Green Bay, Wisconsin | | March 28, 2009 I live less than 5 minutes from this brewery and realized that I have not yet rated it. There is a definite train station feel as you walk through the doors. I usually sit in the bar area so I am closer to the beer and they have alot of it. Ther is a large selection of their brew. The food is good but not great and beer is pretty much the same. Atomosphere is nice and this place is now smoke free which is definite plus!! Overall a great place to check out, the old train station is unique and beer is not bad either(better if you can get it fresh) | johnnyoski (8), Macomb, Michigan does not count - explanation | | March 21, 2009 Cool atmosphere in an old converted rail depot that captures a nice nostalgic feel. Large open bar area on the first floor with a huge chalkboard displaying the tap selection. Very good variety as 14 different beers were available. The 2nd floor has more of a sports bar feel as there are pool tables and dart boards scattered about. I didn’t try any of the food but the menu showed a good variety of pub fare at reasonable prices. Bartender wasn’t very talkative but he was prompt when I was ready for another pint. The beers I had that night weren’t spectacular but they were solid and very drinkable. Neither the menu or board showed the ABV of their brews. Kind of neat that they rotate a ’real ale’ served out of a cask. It happened to be a dry-hopped IPA on this occassion. Definitely worth checking out. | | gws57 (86), Saint Charles, Illinois | | March 3, 2009 Visited for dinner on a Saturday in Feburary as part of WinTour 3. Quite possibly the perfect brewpub concept: trains, sports, and beer. I wish the menu was more extensive and less pubby, but the service was friendly and helpful, and the place was just a joy to wander around in. I will be back on my journeys to and from Crivitz and Door County, for sure. | | KAF (68), Coralville, Iowa | | February 25, 2009 Food was not good and beer was average. The environment was great. We went on a Friday night and there was Karoke. The beer was okay. They had a couple that were really good but the rest were nothing special at all. Everyone I went with was not impressed with their food. Fun place to go and have some beer but go somewhere else for dinner. | | CaryTheDude (21), Longmont, Colorado | | November 26, 2008 Fun place to hang. Bartenders are cool. Even though the beers aren’t all that great, the variety is excellent. Got everything from an IPA and weizen to smoked and alt. Ranges from $3.50-5 a pint. | | phishpond417 (51), Madison, Wisconsin | | September 5, 2008 I used to visit Titletown usually twice a week when i lived in Green Bay. Awesome beers from Dave the brewer. Service is great, food is great and prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is fun, with so many mug club members, it’s always exciting to be there. The owners are great guys and go out of their way to make sure everyone is satisfied. IF you are visiting Green Bay, check out Titletown right after Lambeau Field. | | GeneralGao (220), Iowa City, Iowa | | July 8, 2008 [ Updated August 8, 2008 ] Big brewpub located in an old railroad station almost directly across the street from Hinterland Brewing. They had nine of their own beers on tap, but several of them were very similar to each other. The beer was better on the other side of the street, but Titletown was much more casual than Hinterland. The service was fine and the food was typical pub fare without anything that looked too outstanding. |
