Probably a little closer for me than Beloit to get new glarus. They had a good bunch of it there including some retired ones. raspberry tart and belgian red. they had 3 "unplugged". there were 10 varieties of the other stuff available. not sure how fresh it was. the dude let me mix and match whatever i wanted. I spent $70 on new glarus. they have some pretty good other beers but i was side tracked. store is dirty and not very interesting. worker was really nice, even helped carry out a box to the car for me.

Some highlights: Rochefort Trappistes (all 3) Trois Pistoles (and many other Unibroue) Bell’s, Capital, Goose Island, other regional micros Full selection of New Glarus (including Unplugged) Lots of Polish, British, and Czech imports Rogue Shakespeare (only place in the county that I could find it) Not much in the way of rare/non-regional micros, but a better selection that most "liquor stores" in the area. Their wine selection is far more comprehensive than their beers. Edit on 1/13/05: Got some stuff there the other day and the owner was really cool. Adjusted ratings accordingly. Edit on 2/20/06: After having been other places since my initial rating, I have to up the selection and service ratings for Bruno’s, since I’ve discovered it’s the best liquor store in the area hands down. If you want better, go to Madison or Janesville.
