This is a very comfortable, likeable neighborhood pub in an area far from other worthwhile beer destinations in the city. Seems to be a rather blue-collar (if typically Madison left-wing) neighborhood, and this is a pretty straightforward no-nonsense bar serving hard drinks for people who want to get drunk fast. I found the tap selection fairly pedestrian when I visited, no really exciting local micros so I just had a 2-Hearted; a few interesting bottles including a Wisconsin cider I’d not heard of. Worth a stop if in the area, or if you’re a connoisseur of "neighborhood" joints, but not a must for the beer geek.

I was looking for the address of Wonder’s Pub, and oddly, it was not in the RB database. So I’ve added it. I have visited here twice, and its probably one of the better bars in Madison in terms of selection outside of the microbreweries. On draft were Lake Louie, New Glarus, and some other WI micro beers, with one tap of Guiness of course. On my other visit following the Great Taste, they had two beers from Kuhnhenn on draught, which was very nice to see. Nice place. Both visits were in the early evening, but I did not eat. The food (pub fare) looked good.
