| 1FastSTi (90), Glendale, Wisconsin | | February 25, 2006 Great food. I had the hanger steak and french fries, a barbeque chicken pizza as an appetizer, and a Crème Brulee. Excellent service from gorgeous ladies. Nice atmosphere. What more could one want? The have lots of cordials, spirits, wines, but have just a few beers. | | JCapriotti (67), Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | December 18, 2005 Nice french restaurant in trendy third ward. Owner and head-chef is Sandy D’Amato, who is probably the best chef in Milwaukee, if not Wisconsin (that may not appear impressive, but his food truly is among the best in the country). As Joel mentions, they do (or at least did) have the Lakefront Rendevous Ale, a creation between D’Amato and Russ Klitsch of Lakefront. To me, one of the better LF beers. Great food, I got the Hangar Steak which is an unimpressive cut of meat, but served in an absolutely delicious and dark red wine shallot sauce. To summarize EXCELLENT for food, not so much for beer. | | StewardofGondor (122), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin | | June 14, 2005 [ Updated July 8, 2005 ] My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. Listing it on RateBeer because this is the only place you can get Lakefront Rendezvous Ale, a bière de garde brewed specially for Coquette by Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery. They do take reservations, and can usually squeeze you in if you call several hours ahead. If you’re going there for dinner, get the Croque Monsieur, and for dessert, the Crème Brulee. |
