July 5, 2008 Average looking liquor store with above average selection of beer. Almost everything sold as six packs - with a variety of brands, especially Wisconsin brands. The turnover on the stock seems to be well behind average as there were many winter beers left and a six pack of Capital 1900 still left sitting on the shelf. Beer Belcher is right, it’s no Discount or Breeze thru but there’s still enough viable options here to list it. Prices seemed decent too. |
December 21, 2006 I stopped by this store because I’d driven by it numerous times recently and had been lured in by the "under new management" sign out front.
This store is very clean and well lit, with plentiful parking. Much of the store is devoted to wine and spirits, but there is also a decent beer selection. While the selection is of no comparison to Discount down the road (also on Oklahoma), it is not a bad place to stop for those on the go.
There are 17 cooler doors worth of beer, 7 of which are craft or imports (including your Heineken/Corona type of imports). There is also a long aisle of craft and imports. Selection of better-beers is definitely above average, but not exceptional. There were a few items I haven’t seen in other regional stores including Breckenridge Brewing beers, Harbor City beers (which I have not had), 4-packs of a variety of St. Bernardus beers, several types of Victory 6-packs, and a very large display of 4-5 different varieties of New Glarus beer. Way above average, but it’s not Discount, Breeze-Thru, or Murray’s. Still, I believe it belongs in this listing. |
