Visited early evening on a Monday. Located in a newish strip mall in Flower Mound. From the outside, the gas pumps out front make this look like a standard convenience store. However, the inside is a nicely designed clean liquor store with a big focus on craft beer. The beer is in the coolers that line the entire back wall, and on several of the racks in the middle of the store. The selection is great, particularly local and Texas breweries. Super friendly help. I was looking for a couple of singles to take back to the hotel, and other than large format they did not have singles or a mix a six.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

A true gem of a store in Flower Mound, the Whip In has a good selection with some great guys who can help you choose.

Went by here the other day for the first time. This is an unassuming gas station with a great beer selection, covering most of what we get in DFW. The staff when I was there was very helpful and seemed to know their beer. Too far away from me to be a regular stop, but definitely worth going to if you live within 15 or so miles. I hope to get back soon.

Probably the best selection in this part of DFW - convenience store with rows of shelves and several coolers. The staff was less than helpful on my trip, younger girl behind the counter who seemed annoyed at my presence.

Happened upon Whip-In 117 from a Google search of local craft beer stores. I was blown away by the selection in such a small store. I purchased a Great Divide Fresh Hop Ale and my wife grabbed a 4 pack of Maui Coconut Porter. Awesome, right? Wrong. The "Fresh Hop Ale" was a year and a half past its expiration date and the Porter was right under a year past its prime. The manager could have cared less when I mentioned it to him but I was willing to give it one more try. Wrong again. My suggestion would be to check the expiration date on their stock. Hopefully if enough people bring it up to the manager than they will update their stock. Its great to have good stuff but when you get a soured pale ale and pay $7.99 for it you wont be happy. Trust me.

Down the road from my house. Hard not to stop by everyday. Great place to explore. Looks like a normal gas station but when you go in...wow.

Small store with a ton of craft beer on the shelves. Decent pricing, you can find some old stock here that doesn’t come to tx anymore.

First time in this place and it was great. Good selection and prices are about the as everywhere else in the area. The dude working there was great, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Strange or maybe interesting is a better word. This is honestly about 3 shelves full of really nice, quality ales tucked into a rather oddly located and outdated gas station. Does your gas station carry a Mikeller selection? This one does. Employees seemed nice enough and offered help quickly. I’ll most likely stop by again when visiting family if nothing else out of sheer curiosity.

I am a big fan of the beer selection here. The manager always recommends great beers to try and will take orders if I were to ask for a certain beer not in the store. If only they had a bar in the store I think I would live there. The bars in flower mound do not carry a good selection of imports.
