68 /100 Gallo’s Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 1077 Q ROUTE 34 Small strip mall wine and beer shop with a fridge that holds some craft, some more stuff on the shelves, and maybe a few more in back if you ask. Solid selection of local stuff here. Good place to swing in for a couple of 4/6-packs, but not a destination. Located in the same shopping center (on the far end) as AE Beer Co for those looking to grab other NJ craft on the way in/out of there. |
70 /100 Court Jester (Restaurant) 1077-A HIGHWAY 34 Think of a local version of TGI Friday’s and you’re in the right ballpark. Much better tap list than your average restaurant. There were probably more than 25 taps of craft stuff, including stuff from Carton, Victory, Troegs, 2 Roads etc. Nothing life changing but a solid selection for a restaurant. Service was friendly, food was decent and prices were extremely reasonable. Not a place I’d go out of my way for but worth a stop if you’re already in the neighborhood. |
74 /100 Gallo’s Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 1077 Q ROUTE 34 Typical wine/beer store vibe. Staff seems friendly but didn’t have to avail myself to their knowledge, so not sure whether they know their stuff or not. Solid selection. More available in 6 packs than larger format bottles, but found some surprising things. Prices seemed average. Not worth a special trip but worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood. |
86 /100 Gallo’s Wine Cellar (Beer Store) 1077 Q ROUTE 34 Their beer selection is 2nd to none. Most of the staff have very good knowledge of the micro-brews. They really do focus on bringing in new beers as well as rotating out beers that do not sell well in the area. They also have monthly beer tastings and wine tastings. These are done on a rotating schedule. Jaisyn does an excellent job at informing the customers about the different styles as well as selection of the beers. |
