Inside is industrial ductwork, brick exterior walls, exposed wood, nice windows, brew kettles off in the corner. Exposed Edison bulbs and farmhouse lights, large big screen TV with Sox game on. Board games available. 11 beers on tap at wood bar with several stools. Seven tables with barrel bases, several small to large picnic bench style tables. Outside, seven picnic tables along the river. Good crowd with mixed ages including young families. Busy. Alt rock music, not too loud. Did not try food but pretzels, poutine, hummus, meat and cheese plate available. $12 for a flight of 4--a little pricey, but it is Andover.“ |

About 20 refrigerator doors worth of beer, another long set of shelves of domestic bombers, reverse side of that is more foreign bombers. Selection includes Belgian, German, English, Scandinavian, Mexican, Asian beer which are all pretty much the usual suspects. Fairly standard domestic selection of Massachusetts and New Hampshire beers, as well as the big boy craft suppliers (Lagunitas, Stone, Ballast Point, Founders, Uinta). Small section of singles that are orphans from their catering business. Some interesting local finds and some less widespread offerings but biggest draw is breadth of selection. Prices are pretty equivalent to competitors.“ |

Or at least they have done some renovations. I loved the wine bottle chandelier! The beer choices are decent but there is nothing here that you cannot find elsewhere. The prices may be a tad better. They also have a very interesting range of imports. The pricing seemed pretty good overall. The store itself is neatly laid out, and the fella behind the counter was friendly enough. This place is definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in Andover.“ |

Prices are average to above average typical but they give you a 10% discount if you buy 6 different bombers. They get their hands on limited a special editions. A cooler of crafts and macros on the back wall including pre-filled local growlers. Street parking but it is free about 2 blocks away.“ |

Everything is very well organized with a fair split between locals, us micros and international. They get some rare and unusual stuff and will ration out the high demand stuff. They are the farthest north of Boston that I have seen Trillium and Night Shift beers, including Nightstone - a beer sold exclusively at Night Shift and Redstone locations.
Service is friendly, unpretentions and knowledgable.“ |

I wouldn’t buy anything there if I knew other stores in the area sold them as well. For example, I saw a four pack of Unibroue Le Fin Du Monde there for $9.50. I have bought it at other places in the area ranging from $7.99 to $8.50. Everything there seems to be $1 more than average (which adds up if you are buying a lot of stuff). That being said, they have the best selection that I have found in the Merrimack Valley. Good selection of Belgians and craft brews.“ |

The first time I met a fellow Canadian that was working there and living in the are for years and he was very friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if this is commonplace but they allow you to take singles from six-packs which is great if you are looking for a variety of beers before you commit to a six pack. Second time around they had Moylan’s Hopsickle and 4 others where the first time they only the Scotch Ale so I guess their selection changes quite regularly. Definitely the best selection in nothern Mass.“ |

I loved the variety of German brews at this place, and the prices were really reasonable. The selection of Trappists was pretty exciting, and the prices weren’t too hard to take. I was only there for the beer, but the wine selection was pretty huge. A lot of great beers, way too many to explore in one trip. I’ll be back again and again...“ |

Loads of Alesmith and Moylans, and the singles available are a definite plus. I had trouble with the service, however- it seemed as though my request for a box to carry my purchases home in was quite a pain for the middle-aged woman at the counter. Still, the prime location and selection will certainly have me returning soon.“ |

As you walk upon the store it doesn’t look promising but once your in the excitment begins. It is a medium sized store. As you enter it is all wine upfront, as you walk to the back there is a small redemption center which is always key.
All the room temp beers are in a long "L" shaped aisle with any spill overs adjacent to the redemption center. Most of the back refrigerators are beer and dedicated to craft brews. The selection is tops though, as good as any selection I’ve seen. Moylan’s, BBC, Unibroue, Six Point, Oskar Blues, lot’s of Belgian’s, etc.
The only problem is that there is dust on some of their products although the dates seemed fine on the ones I could check, it could be once they hit the shelves there is little "up keep" but I will check in a few weeks for an update. Overall this is a great store and it is now one of my new places.

Being the only place in MA that I have seen Westvleteren at, as well as Rodenbach Alexander, some old Thomas Hardys, vintage DFH 750s, plenty of old English bottles and pretty much everything in between (1998 Anchor OSA Magnum was 9.99!). Great prices, selection covers everything you would be looking for. Had some 1998 Cuvee Renes as well. Though, the last time I was there, it looks like they sent back a bunch of the hardys and cuvee renes that werent selling so well. But well worth a stop, don’t let the lousy strip mall facade fool you.“ |
