Stori Beer & Wine (Beer Store)
101 HIGH STREET
“Used these for a mail order delivery in November 2021. Range is a bit limited but prices are reasonable.Their USP is that they stock Geipel beers which are all German styled but brewed in North Wales.I have never found anyone else who will deliver these on the internet. Everything delivered safely and in a reasonable time. File under steady but not exciting-apart from the Geipel beers. Scores are based on mail order so hard to say what the ambiance was but based on everything else I should think it was pretty reasonable.“

Stori Beer & Wine (Beer Store)

“Ordered on line during lockdown as they have a terrific range of Welsh beers. Quite pricey but plenty to choose from, also quite a high threshold for free delivery. All delivered undamaged and correctly I understand, as I joined with someone else and they took delivery. Will use them again when I save up.“

Stori Beer & Wine (Beer Store)
101 HIGH STREET
“Towards the lakeside end of the High Street just before the attendant service petrol station. The beer shop is somewhat of a homage to Welsh ales, with a plethora of bottles from up and down the country on its shelves, although some space is found for more established foreign brews. You’ll find more Welsh ales on the kegs at the small bar at the back of the shop unit room if you find yourself with drinking time in Bala. The bottles themselves are purchased at the till by the window, not at the bar. A fridge also allows you to drink something they have chilled if the tap options don’t suit.“

Stori Beer & Wine (Beer Store)
101 HIGH STREET
“Called in during Stori’s 5th week in operation. The shop is conveniently located on Bala High Street with parking nearby. Fairly easy to spot as the least old-fashioned looking place on the high street with a nice neat facade and scaffolding signage. The shop has a modern industrial bottle shop feel with scaffolding shelving and barrels dotted about. Bottles line the walls, while a popular growler-filling station is the beacon at the back of the room. Emphasis is on Welsh beer and I would probably say it has the most extensive selection of bottled Welsh beer & cider I’ve ever seen in Wales. If it’s new Welsh ticks yr after you can fill your boots here - in fact probably enter the top 10 Welsh raters from purchases in this shop alone! Also some from Salopian and a few US / Belgian classics. Also quite a lot of Welsh wine and spirits on the shelves too. Friendly staff, definitely worth going out of your way for if it’s Welsh beer / cider you’re after.“
