“Well, certainly not the worst place to stop and grab a bite. Not too much interesting beer, but still managed to find one at least. Pleasant patio for the warm days. Far from a must, but as others have mentioned it’s probably the best place in the area.“

“If you’re heading south from somewhere major in Latvia to somewhere major in Lithuania, you’re on the right road for this stop. It’s literally the 2nd building on the 1st road on the left after you’ve crossed the river - however, it’s one way, so just loop round the town square. Seems to have plenty of parking nearby. Shabby chic interior fittings, a bit rustic and homely, but huge comfy chairs, too big for the place to be honest! Anyway, I felt comfortable there, it’s quite cosy. Good pub food. Dumpling soup was excellent. Anna was happy with her food too. Prices were low and portion sizes were high. Very easy to make this a default stop for food in the future. Beer selection very limited, nothing new for a frequent Latvia visiter like me. Macro only, but tasty macro - their actual premium range - not crappy macro - you know, the crap that says "premium" on it! Easily to believe it’s the best place within a 20km radius (though northern Lithuania might surprise). Cash only.“

“Straight on the side of the main square. It’s smaller than it looks, so it took us more than a second to find it. Interior looks bit worn out, but it doesn’t disturb me. Selection isn’t the best, but we managed to find couple new beers (out of choice like 6). Food is quite solid. I took 1/2 portion of schnitzel and it was huge. Will go back for food.“

“Pleasant little place in the main square in Bauska. About 6 tables inside, 4 immediately outside, and more benches further out in the square, though people seemed reluctant to sit at those. Only 3 taps, one Nauska and 2 Aldaris. Food looked good, but I didn’t sample it.“
