74 /100 North Coast Wine Lounge (Bar) 1 LANSDOWN ROAD Visited on a wet and windy 12th March 2022. It's an upper crust wine shop with a bar and very nicely done. Coffee crowd early, wine and beer drinkers later. Large fridge and shelves by the door as you enter showcasing local beers and ciders, the bar and wine selection further in. Old cinema seats, old sewing machine tables, but not many of either. Small patio area and also a tall thin table for standing customers. All female staff, friendly but not 'beery' in knowledge. Liked it, as did the wife, I had two cans from Vocation while in there, Margie drank Rosé. |
80 /100 Bellini's Deli Kitchen (Beer Store) 24 QUEEN STREET Visited on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon (12th March 2022). It's a small, cramped store with a surprisingly large selection of booze and gourmet foods. It's packed to the rafters and beautifully laid out. Good and interesting Cornish beers, many Firebrand and Goodh, Vocation too. Friendly chap fronting it who seemed to know his beers. Nice find! |
