“Expensive modern facility that took a lot of planning and expense. Too bad the beer is not up to par. Lots on tap but I wouldn’t want to drink any of it.“

“A nice taproom that is surprisingly quiet. Flights are set, but they were happy to give samples. Staff was good and if you asked a harder question they were happy to give you the beer ’bible’. Very local and not too geeky but they tolerated us. Nice short stop.“

“A large shiny new store in a new plaza. Service tried to be helpful but they could have easily up sold us so much more beer if they tried. Selection was pretty good with a nice selection of locals and imports. Prices are a tad high until you start getting the qty discounts. 15% off 12 singles is a great deal. A good store and worth the stop.“

“From the outside this place will get you excited. Great neighborhood and stunning space, unfortunately everything is downhill from there. Flight of 4 that have glasses on the large side, young servers who know little about beer and beer that is frankly poor. 40 taps and free samples mean lots of ticks, but the beer is so poor and guest taps also poor choices that I just can’t recommend this place.“

“Went there after discovering their best store is closed and will be re-opened at other location in November. No single bottles, service was helpfull, but only could offer big bottles and one 12ounce. Called to other location to help me out, thanks. Stocked up on some Indian beers. Quite expensive.“

“Located in the Monon Square Shopping Center, take the door on the left, enter a serpentine hallway that winds past brewing vats to a "bar" that looks more like somebody’s unfinished basement than a commercial business. The bar seats 10 at a chest-high counter, and there are a few tables. There is also an outside patio. Flights are available at a reasonable price. The ambiance, if left only to the visual space, would be lacking. But, include the patrons and bar-keep, and it is warm and friendly. The brews are cask-conditioned, which I found to be highly enjoyable (no wonder the Brits were so up in arms a few years ago). Constantly changing beer list (so I was told), so be ready for anything.“

“Warehouse kind of place in an upscale area, the brewing equipment is separated by chain link fence. The bar seats 20, and there are ten four seat tables. Friendly, no food, but there are flights @ $10 for six samples. Already has a solid foothold in the area.“

“A great place to watch a movie in Carmel. The theater is clean and the seats are roomy, and you can order food and drinks right from your seat (and the service was great). In addition, there’s a bar in the main entry with a nice selection of house and guest taps available. A great place to watch a movie.“

Bazbeaux Pizza (Restaurant)
111 W. MAIN ST.
“A good pizza joint in downtown Carmel with a nice atmosphere, great pies (although the sauce is on the sweeter side), and a solid craft beer list with 4 drafts (including IN options) along with additional offerings in bottles. The place is a bit understaffed, which wasn’t our server’s fault, but does reflect the service overall. The prices were great for downtown Carmel, especially given the quality. If you’re looking for a good pie in the area, look no further.“

“A good spot with a large tap list in downtown Carmel. Bottles available as well, but the tap list is more extensive. Nothing too rare, but a nice representation of Indiana offerings. The ambiance, service, and food are good, but the drafts are overpriced. Still, a good spot to grab a beer if you’re in the area.“

“A solid spot in Carmel that focuses on English-style cask ales. Their house beers are hit or miss, and they have a few guest taps as well. The atmosphere is nice, including a big outdoor area that’s open during warm weather months. Service is good too. No food, but there are restaurants in the same plaza. Worth a stop if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. The first rating of this place should be deleted, as a 100 rating is absurd, and the rater hasn’t been active in years.“

“A good Upland tap house in Carmel with good food and service. There is no brewing done on site (and thus, no Sunday carrout sales), but they have a solid lineup of their beers, including a couple of extras in addition to their year round taps. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.“

“Part of a strip mall with plenty of dedicated parking. Beer is in the back of the store. Service was pretty good. Selection was pretty good, they put my beer in a wine box, but expected more than one easy to get variety of Three Floyd’s. Prices didn’t seem bad. I picked up four bottles and would probably return.“

“Stopped in here to follow up on an In Person trade set up earlier in the day. I ended up sticking around and checking their selection out. This place is in a strip mall, so there’s plenty of parking. It appeared to me that the focus was more on liquor, but the beer selections was still very nice. I was able to pick up about 10 beers here. I do wish they used boxes rather than bags to send their customers home with. I had a beer leak, and I am curious to know if it is because the beers were rolling around inside the bag and clanking around on my way home. Overall, the service here was friendly and there was a very large selection of beer and liquors. I would stop in here again.“

“Outstanding selection. Knowledgeable staff. and GREAT distribution. They get the goods. I have gotten stuff here I simply can’t get in Chicago. They always have something new and the selection is amazing. Maybe the best thing is that they put the RateBeer ratings on the shelf! Rock on! At least 200 beers.“

“The selection is pretty good here, but the prices are rather high. This is a store that sells both booze and gourmet food, so the real advantage here is being able to buy delicious food under the same roof as craft beer.“

“This place left a terrible taste in my mouth. I asked the guy if they had Three Floyds Gumballhead and he laughed and said, "Yeah Right." I asked about another beer and he decided to give me a long sales pitch on other beers that I wasn’t even interested in. Prices were incredibly high compared to others and their selection was simply okay.“

“Agree with previous posters that this place is difficult to get to when traffic is heavy. The beer is located in the back corner of the store. They have several coolers of beers (Three Floyds, Southern Tier, other local/regional beers). Thought the prices were higher than other places. Service could have been better. No, I didn’t get the discount even though I mentioned ratebeer.“

“Located in a small strip mall that was hell to turn into with oncoming traffic. I basically had to cut someone off. At first glance from the front door I’m wondering where the heck is the beer? The back coolers are all beer and across from them is a ton of bottles. Prices are on the high side. The selection is excellent. I got some Boulevard stuff, some 3 Floyds. They honor the Ratebeer discount here. Parking is fine. Employees were helpful.“

“Located in a big faux-upscale shopping area. Smaller store but nice and well kept. However, a smaller store suggests a smaller beer selection and this took that to an extreme. The selection is not bad, just limited. Good stuff, but only one or two selections from any brewery, no singles that I could find (other than bombers). The employees were nice enough. Parking looks OK, but like it might get tight.“

“Liquor and Wine store with a great selection of craft beers before imports and domestic. The real strength of this place is their singles selection. A TON of single bottle beers as well as six packs. The downside of this place is their prices - a little too over priced in my opinion. I was also a little bummed by the service. I bought a BORIS Stout that was marked down on sale. It turned out that the sale tag was old and no one removed it. Unfortunately, they still made me pay full price despite their mistake.“

“This is an extensive gourmet market, wine, liquor, and beer store. The top feature here is that all of their beer is in a large walk-in cooler. On the outside of the cooler was a sign stating that as of a week ago, the store was no longer breaking up packs of beer, which may be a bit disappointing for future visitors. That said, they were selling off their remaining singles for a dollar each, and how often do you find Raison D’Extra (yes, the one that’s normally $8 a bottle) for one dollar? Even better, we had a coupon for essentially half off of that. So the prices worked out for us. Aside from that, we were able to find a solid selection of beers from Indiana and other places that we can’t get in Michigan.“

“I’m spoiled by this store as I live within a 10 minute drive. Great store! I agree with most of the positive comments already stated. What I like best is that I can walk in, maybe catch a beer tasting, and just wander the aisle before making a selection and not feel rushed to get in and out. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to offer suggestions. Some of my "Bud Light" beer buddies would say that the beer is expensive here but I disagree. It’s difficult to shop around for hard to find brews. I just go here and be done with it. Get the Bud Light at Kroger...“

“Mike Sprinkle used to run this store (he’s since moved to the location downtown) but this place has a fantastic selection of local Indiana beers, tons of out of season midwest beers, ridiculous selection of imports from every country you could imagine, and it’s extremely clean and extremely well organized. Hard to imagine a much better beer store than this one, and Mike caters to the ratebeer and beeradvocate crowd and takes great care of us!“
