“Perfect place to bring the kids since it's surrounded by playgrounds. Even teenagers would feel at home since it's surrounded by a mall. No less than eight garage doors opening onto a patio with picnic tables and bar tables; this makes for nice breezes in good weather, but also the outside area is very loud. The taproom itself has a long curved bar which is much quieter. Like the original taproom, the beers are tasty and creative, although selection is much more limited here. Food is tasty. Nice spot.“

“Visited here during a layover in late October '23. Wide open place in the middle of E Concourse. Dozen or so bar seats available and about the same number of tables. Have about ten of their own on tap, all of their regulars it appears, not crazily priced considering it is an airport. Pretty solid menu with lots of choices. I had a turkey melt sandwich and it was pretty tasty. Service was as fast as could be expected - appreciate that they let you know how long it was going to take for the food prior to ordering. Good airport taproom/restaurant,“

“Stopped quickly to check the place out. In terminal E, this is one of the many places for craft beer at CLT. The place is very new, light green Colours, y shaped bar with plenty of tables. 8 taps of theirs, plus a macro. Food choice is good and decent priced for an airport.“

“Finally found this place open. They swear they're open 10-10, but I fly all the damn time & it isn't. Small lacquered lumber full booze bar close to the beginning of E gate. Open air, so you only get a plastic cup. Four standard, one seasonal on tap. OMB make good beers, so this isn't an issue. They also have several Bud distro beers in cans/bottles, couple Lagunitas tall boys, Sam Adams, Modelo, cheap sparkling, plus their full bar. Prices are whatever($11.90 before t&t), you're at an airport. Ambiance is great if you like people watching. Cheers.“

“Lively brewpub in Charlotte. Mostly tables, just a very short bar (4 seats). 13 taps, a few interesting styles like Belgian quad, mocha porter, Belgian dubbel, blood orange ipa. The beer is good. Food menu is mainly doner kebabs and paninis. Not the best place perhaps but plenty of options.“

“Brewery in an old warehouse. Outdoor seating plus some outdoor tables, a couple of TVs. Pretty extensive beer list, 15 on tap when I visited. Including some interesting beers - a fair number of IPAs, a couple sour/fruited IPAs, coffee stout, coconut stout. They do offer flights. No food. Beer was pretty good and with the variety they have, you’re going to want to spend some time here.“

“Located on new plaza. Laud, busy restaurant that has mix of raters, drunk young adults and families. They offer free mini samples, service was good. Food was solid but can not rave about it. Too laud for my liking but solid beer scooping spot.“

“One of the best in Charlotte in my opinion. The beers were all fantastic. The selection is heavy on citrusy NEIPAs, which is my comfort zone. Great facility with a very large outside seating area on a deck and large open area covered with canopies and umbrellas. We visited on a Friday night which was Friday Food Truck night, and they had about 7 or 8 food trucks, so we were able to get some great food to go along with the fantastic beers.“

“They have a huge outdoor beer garden area as well as nice inside taproom. The night we were there they had live music outside and about 7 or 8 food trucks with some really great food. The beers are consistently great and lean towards the IPA spectrum. I loved this place.“

“Very in the way rotundra bar in gate D, right at the Plaza entrance. Plastic cups, very classy. Twelve taps, both sides of the bar, same thing. 11 house plus, Stella just like Noda. Who doesn't love $10 Stella's! Surrounded by Shake Shack, Annie's, Bojangles & Pot Belly Sandwiches, there's no point in having food. Beer list has some sours, house wheat, the one cider they've ever made, & IPAs the rest of the way. Service is attentive, but it's more quick than hospitable. Kinda bleh. I just feel so vulnerable floating out in the plaza.“

“The bar at the end of the world! Literally. Arrived in D, walked to the very end of A after saying nope to Wicked Weed's line. Three-sided air bar facing the back windows, obstructed by a retail money suck. 14 or 20oz pints, no halfsies or samplers(but you can taste). Twelve house options on tap, plus Stella & only Stella for some reason. Wine, booze, cocktails too, because, you have a hard life, traveling peon. Bar dude is chill, educated, but at times overwhelmed. Three taps were empty, including the seasonal & the one sour. Rest were pedestrian IPAs, lagers & a porter. $9 plus tax for the smaller pour btw, across the board. They have food too, but it's just a few things, the bartender even recommended other places on the way back to luggage. Cans for takeaway if you've never had their staples. Simple, less crowded than Wicked Weed's rotundra, but at the same time, seriously sanitized & boring.“

“At Charlotte airport middle of concourse A (A4). 13 taps: all local microbrews, including a couple of sours and a cider. 5 additional microbrews in cans, and 7 macros in cans. Micros are pricey $10, macros $7. Nice menu of food as well.“

“At the end of terminal D. With a name like Carolina Beer Company, I thought it was a brewery, but it’s not; it’s a bar. 6 taps: 3 local micro brewery beers, and 3 macros. They also have 12 cans/bottles of macros. All are $9. Meh at best (especially with awesome Wicked Weed brewery just down the hall).“

“Wow. Excellent airport find. 12 beers on tap with some excellent barrel aged sours. Great bojangles and shake shack food next door. $9 for sour pint is expensive, but cheap for a BA sour. I High recommend this place.“

“Visited with friends on a Saturday afternoon. Gene added it, I’ll rate it! Located in Charlotte’s South End, in the middle of a bunch of other bars and restaurants. Indoor eating area, as well as two patios on each end of the building. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar. My friends and I grabbed drinks and some food and settled on the smaller of the two outdoor patios. As Gene mentioned, this place is worth seeking out for the very creative fusion food menu. Beer selection is limited, though they did have a few fun local options. Not a beer destination, but a fun place to grab some food on a beautifully sunny day. (Just ok) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited with friends on an early Saturday afternoon. Massive bar in the South End of Uptown Charlotte. As you approach, you see the giant beer garden, as well as two levels above with outdoor spaces and large open windows. First level has some lounge type areas in addition to the large outdoor beer garden. The upper two levels feature a bunch of additional seating, and a huge bar at each level. Beer selection is purported to be “the world’s largest selection of draft beers available in one restaurant”, and was truly overwhelming. I believe it was something like 425 beers available. They did have an efficient online menu that helped direct your choice, but it was still a bit too much. First floor bar features Local, second floor International (seemed to be more non-local) and rooftop was a mix of the above. Service was fairly slow, but friendly enough. I’d recommend scanning the tap list, and if there are beers you want to try, check the place out. Otherwise, this place is just too much for me. Fun place for a group, bonus points for the sheer ambition of this place. (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited with friends on a Friday afternoon that featured absolutely perfect weather. Cool brewery near central Charlotte, was a very short walk from the VRBO I was staying at. Large front outdoor area as you approach, with indoor seating (entire front of the building opened up for the beautiful weather). All orders of beer and food are at the bar. The beer selection was varied, with a very nice Hoppy Pils, hoppy beers, sour and some darker options. The sandwich I got was quite tasty. Service was perfect, friendly and fun. Crowlers and 4 packs of most beers available to go. I really enjoyed my visit. 82 = ***½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors) I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Located at Camp North, an old Army missle plant that has been renovated into a really neat community complex of shops and restaurants. We were there for the immersive Van Gogh exhibit and stumbled upon this on our way out. It was before noon, but I couldn't pass it up. They had about 10 or so beers on tap. They don't offer flights, so I had a small pour on the three beers I tried. They were all quite good. They also have a beer cooler with canned beers from all over. I picked up a couple of excellent sours from NY and NJ.“

“Located in a quiet residential area in an old warehouse, industrial building. Nice taproom with a lot of outside seating. We stopped in on a Saturday night and they had live music outside. “Dedicated parking lot right in front. The market is on the far left, draft beers on the near left. The draft beer selection has quite a bit of locals. The seating is on the right and there is covered outdoor seating on the far right. There are two coolers of beer singles and two coolers of four-packs, they do not break up four-packs. They had a party planned at 3pm which was not listed online, but did have a paper on the door about it. I arrived at 2:45pm and tried to order a beer at 2:50pm and was refused service. There were several people still eating on the patio at the top me. This place is poorly run.“

“Visited during a layover in Charlotte. This is the bigger location, there is at least one other smaller locations in the airport. This one has a lot of seats available and is at the end of Concourse D. They had a pretty limited selection of beer, when I was there, but it was at least interesting styles. Service was fairly nonexistent. There were three people working, but you could barely tell. At least the quality of the beers were decent. Would skip again if given the opportunity. Prices were of course too high as well.“

“Visited on a layover at the Charlotte Airport. They have a pretty nice selection of beer on draft and in package, but they keep things at airport prices, which is pretty expensive. I couldn't conscionably buy more than two drafts. Service was pretty good. All the bartenders working were friendly and kept an eye on whether I wanted another beer or not. I would visit again just because of the quality of beer and being able to get to it in the airport, but those prices really limit me on what I am willing to have. Food options are available, but I did not order anything or take note of details.“

“Funky place - They have a bottle shop and tap room downstairs serving assorted craft beers. The brewery taproom is upstairs in a Mexican themed room with funky, casual vibe. The beers were all decent with definite points for creativity. Styles trend towards sours and IPAs and the sampler flight comes in a cool cigar box. They serve pizza, but we did not try any food.“

“PTT after a little more than a year, is definitely on the rise as far as Charlotte bottle shops. Located in a nice part of town (South End) its only a couple hundred feet from a light rail stop and has street and garage parking. 24 taps of local, NC and other beers (plus a cider or bucha). They especially focus on Eastern NC beers which makes them stand out from others. The bottle and can selection is growing (contrary to other shops). Plus they always have an outstanding selection of the latest cans from in town and around the state. Another bonus is that they host a bottle share once a month. Service is outstanding with all of the employees. Price may be a a buck or so higher given the location but that doesn't detract from a positive experience. They don't serve food, but always have snacks plus several restaurants are very close for take out (including the famous Price's chicken).“

“Parking is quite limited, good luck. The two girls I dealt with were not super beer savvy, but were trying hard to learn. Selection was quite good on draft and even bought a couple beers to go. “There is a parking lot that is for this place, but was almost full. This place is in an up and coming part of town. Medium size bar on the right coming in aNd tables on the left. bottle selection seemed to be Jolly Pumpkin plus around two dozen flagship craft beers. Draft selection was some what updated online, but the beer I came for was unavailable, I did find a gose. The brunette with glasses bartender is not a draw for me, pretty much the oposite. $6.50 for a pint of gose even when the beer menu says $6 is high. No reason to come back unless there is something here I really want to try.“

Moo & Brew (Restaurant)
1300 CENTRAL AVENUE
“Right across the street from Pint Central. Medium sized bar to your left plus restaurant tables and a large patio. Large taplist was mostly flagship stuff as well as some newer regional and local brews. Burgers were OK but very crumbly. Decent service. They had flights, but the choices are selected by them, not you. Decent enough place. Re-rate 3-17-18: you can now choose your own flights and the burgers have been tastier. Taplist continues to impress. Re-rate 12/2018: this place seems to have dropped off a cliff. The first sign was when they dropped out of Untappd, no longer a verified venue. Beer list has slipped to mostly flagships, like any other bar in Charlotte. Even Wooden Robot has been absent on the last two visits. Last straws, the glassware was dirty on the last visit. Burgers are still the same. Anothe one bites the dust.“

“Stopped by during one of two soft openings, theyre now fully up and running. One of the few openings Ive been to where everything worked - they had adequate staff who were well trained, a space large enough to comfortably absorb the crowds, and enough beer to last the entire day. And all the POS equipment worked. Above all, the beers were very tasty, well made, on style. Eleven on offer, mostly hoppy stuff including an easy drinking pils. Hopefully they'll have more variety as they settle into a brewing routine. The space itself is huge, with a massive long curved bar with lots of stools, some picnic and bar tables, and even some standing bars. Five beers are poured from brite tanks/serving vessels, and lots more fermentation vessels visible behind the bar. Even though I couldnt see the mash tun, it was still a nice intimate relationship between brewhouse and serving area. More picnic tables outside on a former loading dock. Barrels everywhere, including in a second room that looks like it would be a good space for large groups or private events. This is Charlotte, so no food of course, but they did have a food truck. Large parking lot, but theyre located on an extremely busy street, so I think Ill bike or walk and come in the back way. Im glad that another brewery making high quality beer has arrived in Charlotte, the city needs it desperately. Looking forward to more. Re-rate on 4-8-18 now that they’ve had a few months to settle in. Still anxiously awaiting the barrel aged beers, especially the sours. Staff continue to excel, with one criticism - they don’t update their Untappd taplist. And one brewer criticism - lots of New England IPAs, sours and malty styles are few and far between. Waiting for more! And hoping the NE fad passes quickly. Third review. The vast majority of their taps are still NE IPAs and they are now doing can releases - of NE IPAs. They bottle kettle sours, which seems a bit pointless to me; they're hit and miss. So I give up.“

“This place is at the very end of the Councourse A extension - turn right before you get to Concourse A proper. Fairly long walk from the other terminals so plan accordingly. Small place but very open plan, sleek and modern. Six taps, one of which is supposedly unique to this location - Layover Lager, a typical light lager. "Like Bud Light or Miller Lite" the server told me. Except that it's $9+ for a 16 oz pour, almost $12 for 20 ounces. Server tried to convince me that this is less than a dollar more than at her local bar. Oh well. Try their other beers, they're better than Bud Light. They do have food, including breakfast but I did not partake. Should have entered this as a brewery tap though, my bad.“
