“Now a part of the Lincoln Liquors chain. That's not necessarily a bad thing - LL is a decent store - it's just a pity to lose an independent retailer. I asked for a NE-style IPA and was directed towards Darlins IPA, which is ok, but not exactly a typical NEIPA.“

“A typical liquor store, a smaller range of singles than other’s I’ve been to in the area, but still more than enough choice for an international visitor.“

Drum Hill Liquors (Beer Store)

“I stopped in here tonight on my way back from a training class. This out of the way, but still on drum hill liquor store is really starting to step up their selection. One 8 ft section of warm is now 16 ft with displays tucked into every crevice they could find. Nice cross section of local and nationwide micros. but a pretty slim representation of the imports. The back wall of coolers is all beer, yeah there’s lots of macro’s but lots of craft in here too. A couple of things for sale not at Julio’s like Newburyport. Prices seemed about average for the area, and the service was thank you for coming. Great stop for us NH people looking for a quick Jacks Abby fix. Word of caution to the younger folk, they had a sign on the door saying they wouldn’t accept an out of state ID. If you typically get carded I would call before making the trip, I of course didn’t have that problem.“

“I’ve been shopping here for a little while now because they are the closest decent liquor store to me. Let me just say that I live in NH and this store being just over the border helps me keep stocked up with all the beer that I can’t purchase in my state. I drive 45 minutes to shop here unless I am looking for something extra special in which case I would drive another 45 minutes to Julio’s. The selection is really good, there are better in the state, but for most brews that I’m looking for I can get them here. I have never talked with anyone here about beer, so I have no idea how knowledgeable they are. I just kinda wonder around looking at what they have to offer and nobody really bothers me. I have emailed them asking for specific brews and they were good about responding to me right away. Decent selection of Belgians, English and German beer. Lots of local micros. Last time I was there they had some Alesmith and Hoppin Frog stuff. I wish they would carry some of the Black water stuff from Southern Tier. All in all great go to store for me.“

“Mostly wine and liquor, but the back freezer section and a couple of aisles are dedicated to beer. A nice selection of good beer, but nothing too rare.“

“One of the best places in Northern Mass to buy beer. Great selection of import and domestic craft product. They even stock vintages bottles of barleywines/old ales at time for decent prices.“

“I just recently moved to Lowell and I was struggling for a place to buy some quality brews. I found this place actually threw a Yankee Brew News I picked up at Colonial Spirits. This place is great, as you walk in you notice the "Beer Singles" at the back of the store, the warm beers are to the left as you enter the store. Harrington’s has very ample parking, honestly I was surprised to see a store with such a variety from all over the globe in Chelmsford. I found a few beers from Belgium (Lucifer/Kwak) in particular that I’ve haven’t seen at other places. The prices are on par for what is on the market and if your in the Lowell/Chelmsford/Billerica area this is place to go. -- “

“Great store! A little bit larger than typical liquor store but with a really good fine beer selection (the far left aisle). Lots of regionals and a lot of good european ones (Westy, and a ton of others). Lots of proper stemware as well. I make the 45-minute drive down from the Manchester area every few months because they’re that good.“

“I will often drive down from Nashua to shop here. The selection is one of the best you’ll find in New England. A large cooler and more warm in an aisle in the back left of the store. Almost all of the New England micros including many of the hard to find beers like Smutty’s big beer and Harpoons limited editions. Beside the usual DFH, and Rougue you can find Brooklyn, Stone, Victory, Allagash and many many more. The imports are all there too as well as the macros. Service is adequate although checkout can be lengthy if you are under 25 or waiting behind anyone being checked for proof. They are rediculous. Would recommend this to anyone shopping in the lowell arear.“
