70 /100 155 SOUTH MAIN Unassuming from the outside, a fairly generic storefront on a massively busy street. Some street parking and a small lot in back. Inside is a typical small town America restaurant with a large L-shaped bar. Sadly no outdoor space on a gorgeous pandemic day.
Even more sadly no house brewed beers when I visited, though a pale ale is promised "next week." Food is tasty and creative. Guest taps are fine. Can't comment on their beers, obviously, but worth considering if you are passing through. |
100 /100 The Arctic Breakaway (Bar) 501 COLISEUM DRIVE Best Sports Bar around! 27 TV’s, a big screen TV, a Giant Bar, 2 Big Banquet Rooms, great happy hour and food and drink specials are always happening. All the Sports, drinks and food you can need on top of two Ice rinks where you can watch live skating and Hockey from the restaurant, Great place! |
70 /100 155 SOUTH MAIN Great place in whats transitioning from a farming town to a yuppie town. Good brews, made onsite of course. Not real up on the food selection, a bit trendy, some may like it for that. Lots of entertainment and special events in the evenings. |
78 /100 155 SOUTH MAIN Great place with very friendly atmosphere, good selection of brews. Monthly newsletter of upcoming events. Had a teriffic time at the last two New Year’s Eve parties. |
76 /100 155 SOUTH MAIN A brewpub right downtown in Chelsea with a large indoor area and a nice area for outdoor seating. Service was good and quick overall. 9 taps with only 8 available and the quality was average overall. Food was quite good with a number of sandwiches available and prices were fair. A bit out of the way for me, but glad I stopped in. |
68 /100 Smokehouse 52 BBQ (Restaurant) 125 S MAIN ST New restaurant with 11 taps all from Michigan. Nice range from Two Hearted, Dirty Bastard, to Cheboygan and Keweenaw brewing. Nice variety! The bottles were mass market lame shit/swill. The BBQ was good!! Excellent addition to a nice little town with some decent places to drink beer now. |
70 /100 155 SOUTH MAIN Newer brewpub, been a few times now. Nice improvement in the beer since the first time. 9 beers on draft, 2 porters 2 stouts, both very good. A nice black ipa, ok ipa, ok wheat. A couple mediocre amber ales. My favorite was the rye porter. Nice facility, didn’t eat. If driving by on I - 94 worth a stop. |
78 /100 Jets Pizza and Sportsbar (Bar) 506 N MAIN ST Jets Pizza sports bar, is a combo of a jets pizza place with an attached sports bar next door. They had 21 taps, now up to 41. I’m fairly shocked that a Jets pizza joint now has 41 taps....Anyways the choice of beers is really quite good . Us and Michigan micros. Bells, Founders, Greenbush, Great Lakes, Griffin Claw, New Belgian, shorts, blue Point. they do have Labatt on draft, that is the only swill on draft so 40 legit craft taps, nice. They do tap take overs which are fun. Lots of TVs. 6oz flights either 3 or 6. The food is jets no other options. Chelsea Alehouse is across the parking lot. Beer drinkers in Western Washtenaw or in Jackson county have a real destination here. Some great beer choices. |
