“Stopped here on the way back from the hinterlands of Maple Ridge to pick up a few cans. Much as per Jak's other locations there is a very good selection of individual cans for purchase, craft beer from around the province and a few of the states just south. I can't say the prices are great, everything seems to have jumped a noticeable amount in early 2022 so I wasn't pleased but maybe that's the going rate these days. Service adequate. If I was a regular to area it might not be a bad stop to seek out some singles of local breweries.“

“Standard suburban brewery tasting room, they have some good beers. Not too far of a walk from the Skytrain station. Service was quick enough. A decent stop if you're in the area or to try their stuff.“

“Typical store ambiance. Good selection for the area, but only for the area. This store used to be one of the better ones in the whole Lower Mainland. It has not only been eclipsed but annihilated - it's only a place you poke your head in if you've been summoned by some ticks to the pub next door.“

“The John B is a hilarious mix of old school BC pub, full of boring regulars who only drink boring beer. The menu actually reflects this crowd. But then for some reason, they have about a million taps with high quality craft, and do some of the best tap takeovers in the burbs. It's a fairly quick bus ride from Lougheed Mall Station, and if you really wanted you could walk it. It's that sort of place where you get a pint of BA quad in a frozen-ass shaker, and you don't know whether to be mad about the serving, or happy that you found a BA quad in random suburbia.“

“Right next to their pub, so might be worth a perusal. Beer selection is pretty generic, but I found some long since retired ice ciders here that haven't been available anywhere else in town for years. Nothing special here.“

“A veteran pub that has upgraded itself to feature an impressive array of craft beers. Flights / small pours available for very reasonable prices. Service isn't super knowledgeable, but very friendly and put in a great effort. Worth checking out when you're out in Tri-Cities.“

“Coquitlam's first brewery - located in an industrial strip fall and a pretty close drive from the Port Moody breweries, the place has easy access off Landsdowne Dr, with plenty of parking. Interior is modern and clean, with plenty of seating. Only four beers on tap so far. Flights of 4 available for $8; single 4 oz pours available too. Beers are not dialed in at this point - all lacking any character and proper balance. Let's hope this changes.“

“In a stip mall just off a main road. Open and garage like with a nice simple design. Pleasant staff, wifi, cheap flights and for now very mediocre beer. Brand new so could step up. Not too far from other places so may as well pop in, but not a destination unto itself. Food is gourmet hot dogs, which are a bit pricey if you ask me.“

“Suburban strip mall brewery. We actually need a lot more of these in BC, as the burbs are horribly underserved by craft beer. So pretty happy to see this place open. It's about a 15 min bike ride from Brewer's Row, or 2 stops on the Evergreen Line. Big space, somewhat sparse decor, with the main design features of the brewery being constellations, per the brewery name. I visited only a week or two after they opened and clearly they are feeling out the market, as they had two painfully old school offerings (Cream Ale & Amber Ale) and two modern ones (Sour Weisse & NE IPA). The former were made quite well, the latter less so, which meant that in the end all four beers were around the same level. Still, they can brew, and if the market supports the more adventurous choices this could become a pretty happy stop. Food right now is limited to a few hot dog iterations. If you're going to Port Moody, I'd call this stop #5.“

“A local that is more modern and nicer than most with a nice patio. Service was great with lots of staff that tried very hard. Selection is extensive with a few gems, but mostly average beers. Food was standard for a pub, but prices were good especially the daily specials and CAMRA discount. A great bar for the area.“

“This place continues to impress me.

It’s a bit off my beaten track, as I’m a transit monkey, and it’s not super close to any of the Skytrain lines, but it’s only a 5-10 minute bus ride from Lougheed TC Station on the Millenium Line, so not that bad really.

A patio it has, but not exactly a view location, unless a view of Austin Ave. is your ideal.

All that said, I like the tap selection (53) and the service. I’ve not had food here, but what I’ve seen on other people’s plates looks and smells yummy. Give it a look, folks. It’s definitely worth the trip.“

“53 taps with many seasonals, and a steadily improving and varied line up. Food menu is extensive and quite good. Bartenders are somewhat knowledgeable. Best selection outside of Vancouver proper“

“In a plaza right next to their pub this small store has a surprising amount of beer. The usual locals plus a decent selection of imports. Nothing to knock your socks of, but better than the BC Liquor stores and the average spot. They claim the best selection in the immediate area, and considering the lack of choices is likely right.“
