“Dinner at the oldest restaurant from Holland, so they claim, its disputed. Still a Wonderfull surrounding and with good food and a decent list of beers, including their own (brewed by Wentersch). Good service, liked it, will be back.“

“Quick visit during a day trip to the nice historic town of Doesburg. This shop isn't focused on beer, but chocolate, coffee and tea. They do have some beers, but nothing special. Not even hard to find elsewhere locals. Disappointing. Went out without buying any beer. Not worth a visit, only hop in when you're here and hope you're Lucky...“

“Delicatessenshop in Doesburg, mainly focused on Visser chocolate and coffee and tea. Beer is obvious something the owner wanted to add to earn a bit more money. Selection has just a bunch of breweries, most of them easy to find anywhere in the country. Scored one new local brewery, but that probably was pure luck. Not worth visiting.“

“Wonderful old tavern in the old city centre of Doesburg, known for its mustard. Didnt grab a beer here, as it was quite early, but they had quite some usual suspects, big macro Belgians and a Gulpener. Had the mustard soup for lunch, which was very good. If you are in the area, it's fun to visit this old medieval bar and have some mustard soup, but for beer you dont need to be in Doesburg.“

“Small shop for mainly coffee and tea but with a small beer corner as well, located almost around the corner from ’De Waag’. At the moment, the selection consists of about five breweries (De Molen, Rodenburg, De Vlijt, Maallust and one which I forgot), but the selection is about to change every now and then. A year ago, they also sold The Kernel, and Rodenburg will be replaced as the owner thinks they become too commercial. The owner really seems to have a passion for craft beer and especially for independent micros, he is well-informed and likes to share his views. Because of the small selection not really worth a detour, but worth checking out if you’re in town.“

“Advertised as the oldest café in the Netherlands, I was quite curious to check this out. Last time I passed by, it was completely packed with no free tables available anymore (on a national holiday). As the weather was great this time, we decided to side outside on the small patio and had some apple pie and a few drinks. The pie was quite nice (I’ve never had that much cinnamon on a pie before), and the beer selection was quite good as well. Although mainly Belgian standards including several trappists on tap and from bottle plus most of the La Trappe beers, some harder to find beers from De Molen and ’locals’ Rodenburg were available as well. But of course, this is more a place to have a nice beer rather than for ticking. Prices were quite okay, and the service was quick and attentive. I wouldn’t mind coming back and spend some time inside since the completely wooden interior and the cozy atmosphere with large chandeliers are very inviting.“

“Situated in the center of the small city in a beautiful historical building dating from the 17th century. Nowdays it’s in use as a bar/restaurant. The quality and quantity of the food are both good, the prices are reasonable. The beer selection is around 8 beers on tap and about 20 beers in bottle, mostly Belgian and German brews, a fair selection though nothing really special. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in town.“

“Second order from them, the first one I chose just to go to my local one and pick up the beers myself, so it doesn’t count. About this one now. More than 300 beers to choose from, mostly dutch beers and belgian of course, but also quite a few of german ones. Lots of choices for non alcoholic beers as well. The difference between the online shop and the local shops is that some of them have local beers available, which don’t appear on the website. Anyway, I ordered a big quanity of beers, I chose the date of delivery and received an order status so I could track my order. They tried to call me to set up a time for delivery and although they didn’t reach me they still delivered my order on the time specified on the email they send me. Cpirrier was friendly. Great packaging, big cardboard boxes divided in twelve with more cardboard. Half of the beers were upside down and covered with paper, to gain some space, but that was okay by me. My order was missing a beer and one was a different from what I had ordered, sent them an email and next morning got an answer back that they will deliver my beers during the day, and they did, and I got to keep the wrong beer too. They evn called me again to tell me the beers were delivered (at my neighbor because I wasn’t home). In two words, excellent service! Prices are not that bad either. Orders more than 100 euros free of delivery charges, plus you can keep the boxes if you’re into trading.“
