“Attached to a little antique mall along what feels like a summertime touristy route near a popular Lake Michigan beach, the redone space is neither off-putting nor standout. It's just a little mid-American pub. On a fall day, mid-week, it was very quiet and nearly empty. But it took several minutes to get service at the bar. One employee typed away on a laptop 5 feet away and never looked at us. Another was serving others and eventually got to us. But his attitude was a little weird, almost like he was annoyed with our questions. Like a lot of places, their tap list is categorized by pricing tiers. We've been to breweries in all 50 states and had never seen that before except in W. Michigan, but he acted like we were idiots for asking about it. And tap handles with multiple labels on them caused us at one point to wonder if we were getting the right beer. In the end, the beer was pretty solid and the 'tenders' attitude improved a little. Have had their beers elsewhere in the past -- all pretty decent. Worth a stop if you're in the area. Didn't eat but small menu looked like pretty typical pub fare. Brewery #1001.“

“Moderately sized in an industrial park with decent parking out front. A dozen or so house taps, with flights and small pours. Wasn't overly enthralled with the taplist, as most things on I'd had before. Friendly service. Worth a quick look if you're in the area, as they can definitely brew good beers.“

“Not a pleasant aroma in the air when you walk in but you get used to it (maybe it was just a temporary thing). Lots of wood colors around the room. Decent service and a good crowd within 20 minutes of the doors opening on a Saturday. Room at the bar or dining tables and even a meeting space in the back. Flights were available and at a reasonable price.“

“Stop #9. Really cool looking place. Nice atmosphere with a nice bar and a great tap selection. Lots of good stuff available. Food menu looked really good but we didn’t partake. Had a beer and then the bartender was kind enough to give us tour of the brew works. Place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Swing by and definitely see if you can get a tour.“

“Huge place right on main drag (I assume), next to an antique store. Saturday 1 PM, came to help a friend brew his own beer on premises. Hour wait to sit (apparently everyone went to Michigan this weekend). We went to the bar and got two seats next to the mini brew kettles in a matter of minutes. Really huge. All sorts of different rooms that can be rented out I guess. Shuffleboard in the hallway by the restrooms. Woodsy feel in the bar area. Maybe 12 of their own on tap. Flights are offered which is always a good idea at a place like this. Met one of the brewers--real personable guy. Five girls tending bar. Not one of them smiled in the two hours we were there which was off-putting (and I hear they never do). Beers were decent and overall the place had a nice atmosphere, but the way we were treated was very disappointing“

“This spot is a little bit out of the way, but it’s really worth the trip. One of the friendliest bartenders I’ve ever met, named Tiffany, was knowledgeable about the product. Lots of their beers on tap to choose from. All of the food we had was awesome. They make all their bread in house with their spent grain. I recommend the red pepper and Gorgonzola soup..“

“This is a great place. Well worth the visit. I sampled about 15 beers, and most were good to very good. Very open friendly place - I had four kids with me and it didn’t feel "bar-ish." Staff wasn’t too knowledgable, but I knew what I wanted and so it wasn’t a problem. Food was good to very good. Well worth a visit.“

“Visited for the first time, I haven’t had much of their beer and wasn’t sure what to expect. The bar was pretty nice with some brewing on premises going on as we ate. The menu was good and the food was tasty. Tried 10 of 14 beers on tap and really came away pretty impressed. They had a good ipa and hopped blond ale (hop on blond), they did a really nice job on the brown ale, porter, Irish red, and my own favorite the dry stout. They had an ESB that was easily drinkable if a little over hopped for the style. I will happily return.“

“Decent beer, decent food, and idiot staff. Maybe they hit me on a rough day. This was brewery 6 on a 7 brewery stop day. I’ll probably go back if I’m in the area again.“

“This is a very nice brewpub with an irish pub in front and a german beer hall in the middle. The food was upscale pub food. They have a wide selection of their own beers, which are all solid examples of the respective styles. It is very worth the stop if you are driving by.“

“I came here to kill time before Hatter Days and I was assuming the beer would be run of the mill but was pleasantly surprised as the beer was excellent. Quite a few house brews on tap and the six sampler had some pretty large pours. There’s a homebrew station right in the shop and several people were labeling their beers on my visit. My waitress homebrewed herself and talked to us awhile about that and anything beer related. The food was excellent and while their bottled beers are average at best, the stuff I had on tap was stellar. Another hidden gem in Michigan!“

“A delightful stop on the way to the UP. Brewpub connected to the brewery. Premises include a large German-style Fest hall and a brew-on-premises set-up that is in the brewpub itself. We happened to be there on August 18th, the brewer/owner’s birthday, and he stopped by to greet us and talk beer when he came by to check on things. Friendly bartender knew his beer, as did the regulars sitting at the bar. A great place to visit.“

“Not really anything special. Decent beers, good sandwiches, and friendly staff. Definitely an Irish Pub decor inside with a nice big patio out front. Not a bad place to stop and grab lunch on a sunny day if you’re in the area.“

“Newly remodeled building going south on 2 out of Douglas on the right of road. Parking in the front. Clean Irish pub format with bar in the center back with tables for food in the front and patio for summer. Freindly service with good knowledge of brews. Good sampler selection of 8 above average to average brews. Good menu of starters and sandwichs. Kettle chips were very good. Will stop again when in the area.“
