“Visited for lunch on Tuesday 6th September 2022. Olde Worlde 15th Century timber framed building at the end of one of the main streets in Evesham, just a minute or so over the road from the Red Lion on Market Place. 2 rooms on entry ... both with bars ... the main one on the right where most folks congregated and another to the left ... we were the only ones in there but there were no tables left in the main one. There's also a patio area out back. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was good (home made faggots!!!). At the business end 3 beers on cask, including a superbly kept session IPA from Bewdley - I had 2 pints of @3.9, and also a bladder bag cider from Gwynt y Ddraig. Definitely worth a look in if in Evesham.“

“Visited just after lunch on Tuesday, 06/09/22. Old skool market place boozer probably dating back to the 19th century I'd imagine. No one else inside this relatively compact boozer, aside from myself, with 2 groups of drinkers in the sun outside on bench tables. One cider (new local cidery for me - Lenches) plus 4 cask lines featuring Butcombe and Wye Valley. Service was friendly - a new owner who had only been there a few weeks (having taken over from a long standing landlord). He hoped to introduce a 2nd cider from the bag in the future ... also a number of bottles and cans of beers and ciders available including craftier numbers for those of that pursuasion. Decent trad boozer ... worth a visit if in town.“

78 /100 6 MARKET PLACE,
“This 2018 CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub is a very friendly pub in the market square with a few tables outside with welcome umbrellas given the heat this summer. Lovely cosy feel inside the pub, and a good selection of Cannon Royall beers on the bar. We enjoyed the Blonde Bombshell and Foxy Lady.“

“Early start here for a group of us so pleasantly surprised how quickly 20 of us got seen to with a variety of breakfasts and drinks. As it was an early start with a long day to go round pubs near the river Avon, we didn't have a lot of beer, but did enjoy the Ilkley Rombald. Food was served quickly and plates removed afterwards quickly too, and we enjoyed our beer in the back patio area. Small it may be for JDW but a good one to visit.“

66 /100 64 BRIDGE STREET
“These are early days for this newly opened pub in central Evesham, so really this is just an interim report until it really settles in. It is situated within a pleasant courtyard just off Bridge Street as it becomes a pedestrianised area, look out for an A Board signalling where the pub is. It is away from the rest of the pubs in town but not that much of a walk. The courtyard looks like it will be a sun trap in the summer, so looking forward to that. Inside used to be a restaurant, so a little open with plenty of seating but not very cosy, the bar is to the right as you enter. The couple who run it give a friendly welcome and are happy to talk about the beers that they are offering, many of which are new to this area as they are sourced from around Birmingham. There are 5 hand pumps and I believe 4 keg lines with a reasonable range of styles, there is also a bottle fridge but I only saw Brewdogs in there. This is a really good addition to the town and hopefully the locals will catch on and give it a go. Dog and Children friendly, you can also take in your own food, closed Monday to Wednesday so be careful with that.“

Orto Lounge (Restaurant)
14 MARKET PLACE
“This is a recently opened venture from this expanding Lounge Cafe Bar chain in the lovely Market Place area of Evesham. It is busy and popular but still remains friendly and personal. Families are more than welcome. There are 2 large dining areas across 2 floors. The beer range is a little limited although Bristol Beer Factory do provide a changing keg beer, the bottle fridge holds some interest too. Although not a beer destination it is a very pleasant place to visit.“

70 /100 6 MARKET PLACE,
“Old style town centre boozer located close to the atmospheric All Saints Parish Church in Evesham. A safe haven from the modern world, it is a wet only conversation pub with occasional Cèilidh sessions where anyone can turn up with an instrument. Just Cannon Royall beers available on the 5 Hand Pumps including their one off specials, nothing of worth on the macro keg lines. Well worth a look.“

“Cosy little ’Spoons with the traditional ’Spoons decor and some nooks and crannies to hide yourself away in. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were particularly friendly (although having our young daughter with us always seems to help in this respect). Six cask taps if I remember correctly, two of which had smaller Midlands brewers on. You know what the food’s like. As ’Spoons pubs go, I quite liked this one.“

Royal Oak (Restaurant)
VINE STREET.
“Rather a smart pub cum restaurant close to the town centre. The food here is rather splendid and well priced. There is a pleasant, relaxed feel to the place and it is certainly acceptable just to drink and not eat in the front bars. The beer choice is rather limited, but with an unusual regular for the area in the Hogs Back TEA. The other pumps are generally serving Purity beers. A really pleasant addition to the Evesham scene.“

“As Wetherspoons go this is on the smaller side for them, a well established pub just off the market area and centrally located. Absolutely rammed on market days and not much quieter at other times as it is fairly unique to Evesham as a chain pub. Despite the national beer festival going on they seem to have ignored it totally as I couldn’t find one being served, just the normal national brands and a badged for the pub effort. Not much to go on really but in a beer desert you take what you can get.“
