“No longer in Unit 142 as listed on RB at the time of my visit, which was now an art gallery. It's now located across the road and it looks like the move has given the place greater space as they now sell wine by the glass as well as the bottle. The take away ales are in both bottles and cans and are not limited to Suffolk breweries - Northern Monk were represented here. Everything had quite a high mark up except for the out of date selection.“

64 /100 BEACH STREET, MICKELGATE ROAD
“Almost at the far end of the beach where a park area of attractions for kids and families exists. This is a craft can and keg bar housed in a a cut out container unit in a rear area of the park where there's similar looking food outlets and shops. The main building this is set around looks seaside tacky so it's an unusual setting. Listed as a bottle shop on Ratebeer when I visited, with takeaway being fine if that's what you want, this place is more of bar though with some worthwhile keg options from the current crop of top brewers around the country.“

68 /100 BEACH STREET, MICKELGATE ROAD
“First visited 16/9/2021. Unlike other Hopsters which are shops with drink in options this is a bar within Felixstowe’s new Beach Street food/drink/retail area. 6 taps and a small bit growing selection of cans. Doesn’t have its own seating, the tables being communal, uncovered and shared with other units, the nearest of which is Vietnamese street food. Not very hospitable on a cold and rainy day but lovely if the weather’s ok. No real ale just keg/cans.“

Wine-Boutique (Beer Store)
142 HAMILTON ROAD
“As name suggests, this is more focused on wine than beer, but the owners are developing an increasing interest in stocking local, national and international beers. Around 40-50 different beers last time I went in. Currently there is no 'drink-in' option but they are looking to move to another premises close by and have extended hours with on-premisis drinking (Update 28/12/17 new premises now has drink in option for an add-on of £1.50 to the take out price). With beer options in Felixstowe very limited, this is the place to look-up if you happen to be in the area.“
