| 74 /100 Craft Life (Beer Store) MARKTPLATZ 2 “Brand new craft beer store in the heart of the Gmunden old town. Focus is on Belgian beers and on small local breweries, although they also have a rack with some famous craft brewers like BrewDog. The Belgian range isn’t outstanding, but quite good, also with some lambics and trappists, even Westvleteren XII. The local range is a bit more interesting though, with some harder to find beers from breweries like Schloss Eggenberg (for example all Samichlaus variants!), Bierschmiede or Gusswerk. They also have a small selection of local deli food and spritis, like whiskey or liqueurs. Prices aren’t low, but decent for such a store. Staff is really friendly and talkative, like always in this part of Austria.
Overall definitely worth a visit if you are nearby. Seems to be the first quality beer store in the region.“ |
