“Cafe Koller is attached to a bakery opposite the station Its main attraction, apart from good coffee, is that it has two taps selling local beer. One is a lager from Stadtbuhler. The other is the excellent Lucius from local micro HuM. This is the only place to get their beer regularly, apart from the brewery. Both the food and beer were reasonably priced for Switzerland“

“Excellent brewpub on the edge of Gossau, about 15 Minutes walk from the station. It’s fair!y !large with two main part. The restaurant is open all day, and are happy for you just to drink. There is also a separate bar which opens in the evening. The food looks good and the set menu is not too expensive. Service was quick and efficient, although no one spoke English. There were 4 beers on. The Hell, Dunkel and Weizen are regular, with a Winterbock being offered as a seasonal. All were reasonable. All beers are available in 0.2l measures, and the prices are quite cheap for Switzerland“

“This is a small Swisse brewery that produces excellent beers, 8 different are available. Friendly staff help you collect them all. Glasses, coasters etc. available. These beers are hardly available outside Gossau.“
