90 /100 The 024 (Bar) 1300 14TH AVENUE A great small beer bar with limited hours but very much worth visiting. Paul and Liz are the proprietors and are incredibly hospitable. The regulars are friendly and up for a chat about beer or life. 12 taps that offer a little bit of everything plus bottles and cans. I look forward to my next visit to Grafton to drop in a few evenings. |
70 /100 Atlas BBQ (Restaurant) 1304 12TH AVE Visited for some American BBQ with a colleague, just a few other geusts around at our visit a Thursday around 8pm. Sat at the bar, friendly bar maid and some nice BBQ, 3 meats and a couple of sides and i was stuffed. About 10 tap's with a mix of bigger brands, local micros and on top Topling Goliath Psoudo Sue on tap. Good service and prices. Not a beer place on its on, but if one wants some nice BBQ with some good tap beer its a nice place to go. |
70 /100 The Bottle Shop of Grafton (Beer Store) 1237-1239 12TH AVE Big bottle shop with a good selection of beers, allthough most in 4/6 packs or bombers. Locals and some of the bigger craft brands, Hopping Frog, Evil Twin, Three Floyds etc. Would have liked some more single smaller can / bottles. Picked up a few beers tho. About 8 different Superstition meads on the shelfes to. Fine service and easy to find / park at. Okies prices. |
76 /100 1505 WISCONSIN AVENUE, SUITE 170 Modern place in middle Grafton close to other bars / restaurants. Long bar to the as you enter, brewery equipment behind it and some smaller tables. Very light and friendly. 10 beers on tap, available in either a fixed 4 pcs flight at 10 dollars or pick you own for 12. Good quality of the beers we had. Friendly and helpfull service, good advise and a few tasters to my non beer geek colleague before ordering. A good number of people in, some rafle going on. Nice place, woud like to revisit. |
58 /100 The Bottle Shop of Grafton (Beer Store) 1237-1239 12TH AVE Randomly walked by here so I stopped in. Big place. Seems like partial convenience store and partial bottle shop. Decent beer selection. Nothing rare but some less common stuff. Medium sized small format single selection was not too exciting. I picked up a less common Toppling Goliath but nothing else. Friendly lady working the store. Clean. Not worth going out of your way, but easy walking distance from Sahale so worth a stop. |
80 /100 1505 WISCONSIN AVENUE, SUITE 170 Heard good things about this place so I planned to stop by after my annual conference in MKE. Nice cap to a great few days catching up with old friends. Moderate sized place. Lots of windows. Bright. Slow but I arrived just after opening on a Friday. 10 beers on tap featuring four regulars and six rotating taps. Kombucha and soda available. Build your own 4 beer flight for $12, and a la carte pours seemed to be $3-4. Beer quality overall good. Creative, wide range of styles. Well executed, but lacks a little finesse. No flaws at all. With time and experience they could hit it out of the park. Did not try food, but there was a menu on the wall from some local business. So I presume there is food. Staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Overall, nice place, and a nice addition to a growing scene in the northern Milwaukee suburbs. |
74 /100 Atlas BBQ (Restaurant) 1304 12TH AVE Comfortable place. Decent beer selection, Tap selection limited but sometimes surprisingly good. OK pricing. BBQ - depends who you ask... smells great. |
86 /100 The 024 (Bar) 1300 14TH AVENUE Update 1/5/20 - Atmosphere still small, local, with great service and owners... but much better known and more active. Still twelve taps, but more rare bottles and cans, and greater turnover on the taps. Value is actually pretty good for the beer quality served.
1/5/18 - Exceptional selection, stuff you won't find elsewhere (though small selection). Knowledgeable owner. Small venue, bring your own food is OK. Nice location. |
84 /100 The Bottle Shop of Grafton (Beer Store) 1237-1239 12TH AVE A great selection of craft beer (and other alcohol), at a fair price, and run by nice people. This is my new favorite store, and it is local and easy for me to get to. Grafton did not have a store like this until now. They also have a parking lot, so no need to find street parking. |
76 /100 The Bottle Shop of Grafton (Beer Store) 1237-1239 12TH AVE Opened recently. Not a big a selection, but a very good selection. Fair value... Mixed 6 @ 8.99. |
78 /100 2615 WASHINGTON STREET Good food ,good beer and great service. not sure what all the whining is about. 6 standard beers on tap and 4 seasonals. I had one full pint and the sampler, I sampled all available beers (great beer)I would stop here again ! |
72 /100 Sendik’s Food Market (Grocery Store) 2195 1ST AVE I have been a few times now and they always have a decent selection of New Glarus, and other local/regional beers as well as some decent west coast offerings (Sculpin, Grapefruit Sculpin, Mirror Pond).
They don’t allow you to break six packs but they have a small single section that appears to be loose beers that they put in there though usually nothing particularily special.
Worth a stop if in the area. |
34 /100 2615 WASHINGTON STREET Wow. This place has gone downhill. We loved the original 20 years ago downtown, when a craft amber ale was cutting edge and hard to find. Well, they have the exact same 6 beers on tap they had 20 years ago, and compared to all the brewpubs out there now, this is just tired and boring. Food was very average. Skip this one. |
74 /100 1208 13TH AVE MAH - Grafton deserves a rating upgrade. In the past year, they changed the structure so that they are not locked into MAH product. I’ve had Three Floyds and Founders here. It’s still limited and hit or miss, but the off brand stuff is typically top quality. Food has had an upgrade as well - try the Buffalo Chips - outstanding. And the service has had an upgrade - much more commited to making your visit a satisfactory experience. Ambience is creative, location is great. |
48 /100 2615 WASHINGTON STREET Strange looking building right off I-43 and tucked behind a BP gas station. Big wooden interior with all the crappy Water street brews on tap and none of the one-offs on this visit. Places like this just make me lament the fact that I live in a city without a good brewpub and the mediocre chain type feel brewpubs we do have somehow seem to expand. |
70 /100 1208 13TH AVE Like the Milwaukee location, this one is right on the Milwaukee River and located in downtown Grafton, not too far off I-43. It has a similar feel to that place inside with a large open feel and wooden decor everywhere. The food is decent and the beer is hit or miss, they seemed to have most of the stuff you’d find at the Milwaukee location. The service was acceptable on my visit. |
72 /100 1208 13TH AVE Nice ambiance - for being in a newer building it has a somewhat ’old’ feel with use of solid wood finished doors and some other additions. Service was decent but not exceptional. Food has been good selection of brews is fairly decent too. The value is about you’d expect for the price. Overall, a nice place for just brew or a meal, appetizer, etc. |
34 /100 2615 WASHINGTON STREET Newest brewpub in the area. In the two times I’ve been here, sub-par food, service, and beer. Every seasonal/specialty brew on their beer menu I requested was "not available." Staff cannot distinguish between an ale and a lager or describe anything they serve. |
66 /100 1208 13TH AVE Pretty nice place in the "revitalized" part of Grafton. Food and service good, beers in general also pretty good. Outdoor seating on the Milwaukee River. |
72 /100 1208 13TH AVE Nice little brewpub in Grafton that is an extension of the Milwaukee Ale House. Had the Sheepshead stout with a pot roast burger and both were excellent. The service was very good and I have no real complaints except that they did not have an IPA on tap. This is the third Brewpub I’ve been to on this trip that did not have an IPA on tap. To me that’s like a hardware store not having a hammer. Rant over. One more note, I don’t think that they actually brew any beer on this site, I did not see any equipment. |
46 /100 2615 WASHINGTON STREET Located off I-43 at the grafton exchange. Another larger brewpub with a even larger corporate chain feel to it. This was a very well funded brewpub construction and the place is filled with expensive brewing equipment and breweriana(sp?). The tap line-up of ten beers was mostly lagers, but I had the pale ale which was decent. They offer food but not for me this trip. I prefer smaller brewpubs with character to this style. |
62 /100 Sendik’s Food Market (Grocery Store) 2195 1ST AVE Stopped by on recent trip to Tendick Disc Golf course and Silver Creek Brewpub. Nothing special here, probably the least stocked Sendiks I’ve seen yet. Plenty of Sendik’s beer and Milwaukee Ale House stuff and a smattering of other micros, but nothing you can’t find anywhere else in the area. |
