“I put in my first order with these guys, noting that Jonas seemed to be name checking them quite a lot in recent ratings. OveralI was impressed, the website whilst a little bit simple and probably in need of an overhaul works fine, the range is pretty good and covers a decent if not overwhelming selection of Belgian, UK and of course German beers. There were of course many more countries represented and as such I picked up a Faroe Islands beer, but on this occasion I mainly stuck to the aforementioned countries and stocked up on old favourites. Prices were very good, so for example I use Beyond Beer webshop a lot, Bons Voeux on there is €5.29 v €3.99 with these guys, similarly Saison DuPont dry hopped is only €2.49 on here whereas even the regular version on Beyond Beer webshop is €3.49, and I could go on. However a couple of things to bear in mind shipping with these guys with DPD was over €13 with Beyond Beer it's free in Germany via DPD when you spend over €70 and or €2 with DHL Go Green for the same outlay, also quite bizarrely I couldn't order more than 8 or sometimes 9 bottles of cans or bottles, I tried this with Orval, Jaipur, Bons, Saison DuPont etc, there was the same message about not being available in this quantity, so either they simply don't carry a huge amount of single items or you are unable to purchase that many, either way struck me as a little bit strange. Delivery was quite quick and a message in English to them was responded to helping me with my query and also very swiftly. Overall it was a positive experience because there were a number of regular stock beers here for me at great prices, but as indicated one must weigh this up against the delivery charge which I think may be calculated on a weight basis.“

“Huge beershop, with a large selection of German Macros. But also a lot of foregin beers, and German micros. Have a very nice homepage, so made a list before my visit. English speaking, and really helpfull finding my beers on my list. Big plus for a nice homepage with all the beers in stock, so you can plan your visit!“

“Rushed from Dortmund airport to get here on time. Pretty large store with good selection of German traditional beers and couple of hundreds of bottles of modern craft brews. We've focused on traditional stuff, plenty of new ticks for me. Craft beers were more middle of the road with few specials like Dark Island Reserva. However the specials came with hefty price. The owner was kind and happy to recommend some brews. Worth a stop if you're passing nearby and looking for some beer.“

“06/2022: A regular stop on my trips north. The selection has expanded in the last couple years. An unusually large British selection for a German store, as well as a good selection of Franconian beers and larger German craft brewers. Still little to no offerings from the smaller microbreweries. 10/2019: Stopped in after making a short diversion from the nearby A1. Looks like you average Getränkmarkt. Focus though is definitely beer. One aisle of craft beer and several aisles from regional and commercial breweries. A Belgian selection too although I didn’t see much new there—just the usual candidates that find their way to Germany. A decent stop. 3.1 “

“Large store (compared to what I am used to) in a small town. Easy to reach by car with enough parking space. Quite some micros for German standards, most German and unknown to me. Some American (Base Camp, Caldera). Service is friendly. Would visit again. Prices are low.“

“Seit sich die Zwerge getrennt haben, ist der Service kommplett untragbar geworden. Die Auswahl wird komplett ueber den Frenchisegeber der Nordmanngruppe bezogen und zu saftigen Preisen weiterverschaerbelt. Ich hatte mehrere Biere bestellt und nur eine Teillieferung erhalten, zum Teil Biere die Ich nicht bestellt hatte erhalten und warte seit Wochen auf den Rest. Trotz Reklamation in Hamburg tut sich nichts...“

“Good web store with some germa gems and a good belgian selection. Good prices as well. Packaging is a bit questionable though, with no plastic wrapping and only cardboard paper to protect the bottles. Which is not suffient always, at one occasion did I get some broken bottles, and they were not very cooperative about it.“

“New rating for the store: Very large bottle shop focusing on beer. A varied selection of classic German/Franconian beers and modern craft beer from Germany and most parts of the craft beer world. Really interesting selection, took me ages to browse through it. Prices are average, staff is quite knowledgeable. Worth a stop if passsing by on the A1. This rating is for the former web shop. My order was delivered within a few days. Shipping costes are the usual ones inside of Germany. The packaging was really good. The assortiment ranges from many German to Belgian, other European and American beers. Many standard ones but also many rarities. One of the best selections in Germany. The prices are fortunately a bit below average. However, the structure and layout of this site would need an update. Nevertheless highly recommended.“

“This impressive bottle shop has a perfect location for all those who criss-cross Germany by car: on the outskirts of a minor town, just a few kilometres from a busy motorway. I had had no idea that it was there, and I wouldn’t have got it but for a quick tip from a good friend. The selection, at least in terms of quantity and geographical variety, is better than I have seen in most places in Germany. This being said, I must add that the shop is first and foremost a good place if you want to buy decent Belgian beer or just haven’t rated some of the better exported ales from the UK. Glassware available, too. The owner is very friendly and ready to offer advice. Fair prices. I will come back if ever in the vicinity (most probably on the road to somewhere else).“

“My former #1 go-to- place for online beer orders (well, sort of still is). Sort of a fun and unpredictable place. My impression is that there’s actually some sort of beer drinking dwarfs (the ones santa sent to rehab) working in a magical beer cave, servicing orders from this not-updated-since-2004- web site. Unless you live in Germany, the shipping details are apparently done manually. But no matter what day/time you place your order, you’ll usually get a quote within a couple of hours (I reckon these ones don’t sleep). They have a good selection of classic belgians, germans, whcih are pretty ok priced. They get others too, but not that much and not too frequently updated. Packaging is good (no a single broken bottle yet). But for some reason (not having a sync between what’s in storage / ordered) they may switch bottles at times, or send a couple of extra ones.“

“Nice shop with a good, but average and quite boring selection. German beers are mostly much overprized and you only get the average foreign beers which you find in any better beer shops. Shipping costs are quite fair but not as cheap as you get them from other online shops. You can have a look at their selection every now and then but can’t regulary purchase new beers.“

“Nice store front and very friendly helpful staff that was able to deal with my lack of understanding of the language, guys speak English great. They have a nice offering of German brewed beers, particular ones that are on the outside of typical German style brews, imperial stouts for instance, as well as UK and US offerings. Only a portion of their offerings are on these shelves. Be sure to ask since the rest of the selection is in their large storeroom just on the other side of the property. So be sure to ask if you don’t see something you’re after. I look forward to coming back here if I’m able to break away during the work week.“

“I was going to order from here, but decided to check it out in person first. Glad I made the extra stop. This is a superb beer store. The biggest selection I have seen in Germany. Price is fantastic. The gentleman working here is very friendly and goes out of his way to help you. Situated in an industrial area, and having strange opening hours. He explained that this isn’t their main business and just do it to occupy some otherwise wasted real estate. I will definitely be ordering from here often.“

“Visit in Cologne before they’ve moved to Greven. Improvisitional location. Slightly unclear presentation, thus helpful service. Assortment keeps a good combination between wide range and high quality. Very good alternation over time, always gathering new beers (new in shop as well as new in general). Mailorder is superb, very quick and reliable. If you like, try out "Bierzwerg des Monats", you’ll receive a monthly selection of solid beers from smaller German breweries. Always worth a visit!“

“Visited in March 2010. A good but not a good looking store with many german beers that I’d never heard of. Also some beers from overseas. Friendly staff. Location was about 40 minutes walk from Koelnmesse. It is possible to take the S-Bahn to a station that is about 15 minutes walk from the station. I bought 11 bottles for 14 EUR, including two Ayinger Celebrator. Very cheap prices compared to Sweden.“

“Quite regular German Getränkemarkt with some overseas specialities. I bought some Kölsches but the I have no experience with the webshop and since they’re delivering only to German addresses. Well they also deliver to Finland. Now tested. Friendly service, rather good selection, OK prices. Fast service. Beers well packed. Update 12/2013. They still have very good selection and nice prices. The shipping costs still affordable and the shipping fast. Unfortunately there’s no customer service anymore. They don’t answer any emails...
