84 /100 Sanayi 1A (Bar) 2. KISIM 1.SOK NO 1 MASLAK Наверное самое лучшее место что бы попить лучший Турецкий крафт. Очень атмосферное место, очень хороший выбор пива на кранах, причем разных совершенно стилистик. Очень зашло место. Надо добавить только пивасов в баночках. |
78 /100 ASMALı MESCIT, JURNAL SK. |
22 /100 Brewmark (Bar) TAYAKADIN DISTRICT TERMINAL CADDESI 1 4 on tap few bottles in fridge, found Turkey macro, but not good seletion. Service was like "ohh do we work here?". Thouth they had few local beers.

58 /100 Bira Fabrikası (Bar) CAFERAĞA, SAKıZ GÜLÜ SK. 10/A Weekend in Kadıköy so incredibly busy. Too busy, exhaustingly so, got reshuffled multiple times to a different table, ordering took forever, they had quite a bit of craft beer listed but didn't bother figuring out what they did or no did not have with the many attempts to get served and eventually they took away my beer before I was even finished without asking if I wanted something else. I suppose I was taking up too much space being just one person, but I was sitting at a table designed for two, going during the day when calm is definitely a better choice. |
68 /100 KıLıÇALI PAŞA MAH. MECLIS-I MEBUSAN CAD L5 BLOK NO: 8/2D KAT: ZEMIN - 1, 34433 Every day craft beer means less & less, this place is called The Populist and the slogan was something like the people's beer, this second location is located in an extremely upscale shopping mall where you need to pass through security and a metal detector in order to get in. Craft beer is for the well off to begin with but this is beer for the 1 %. Very slick place, the view is amazing tough from the terrace, tourists, expats and the wealthy only. Honestly the beer is expensive but not more so than at other places, expected it to be way worse. You can try the Torch beers which were okay in a range of style. For Istanbul this is good beer & the view is amazing. |
68 /100 Craft Beer Lab (Bar) ŞAIR NEDIM CD. NO:4, SINANPAŞA MAHALLESI, BEŞIKTAŞ Modern and slich looking with BrewDog-esque feel, there is even a BrewDog logo inside. Quite a number of taps & QR code menu online, saddly the menu had only the beer names making it too difficult to figure out even the country of the beer, big minus points for that. Turkish craft, macro, some imports like Hobgoblin, BrewDog also Efes, as said I couldn't figure out what some was. Okay service, high prices as to be expected, flights available. Sports on tv & tacky music, bit artificial feeling. |
68 /100 Varuna Gezgin (Bar) SAHKULU MAHALLESI, KUMBARACı YKS. NO:79, BEYOĞLU A hipster backpacker place with books, bricks, and mugs on the ceiling, green library laps, looks quite cool. With an extensive menu cobbled together from all kinds of countries and locations, it seems to be a brand focused on backpacking and adjacent philosophy. Definitely something different and interesting. Lots of macro, big name imports, and the Türk Tuborg "craft" range. Fun enough to stop to try a Türk Tuborg beer. |
68 /100 DRAFT Moda (Bar) CAFERAĞA, MODA CD. NO:64 Weekend in Kadıköy so very busy obviously. Modern BrewDog-esque looking bar. Bar tender didn't know English & I didn't have internet to scan the QR menu so bit of a confusing visit. Looking at the other tables they do have the likes of 3 Kafadar but also bunch of stuff like Budweiser & Efes. My beer did come with like the biggest portion of popcorn ever & prices were good. |
54 /100 ESENTEPE MAH., EMEKLI SUBAY EVLERI,, YıLDıZ POSTA CD, GAYRETTEPE Located near huge office buildings a way from you would usually be as a tourist. This is apparently the granddaddy of Turkish craft brewing. Interior is cool, like park bar mixed with a pub or something. Quite a popular place but clearly with the higher class, craft beer is expensive in Istanbul but the prices here are just wild as hell. Not even logically so, bottles of a beer can be cheaper in same size, Brut IPA is cheaper than lager etc. Their dopplebock on tap was almost 10 euro for 33 cl. Unbelievable really that this place works so well with this kind of crazy pricing. The beer isn't even all that good, first beer flirted with brewing errors & Brut IPA was an unexplainable ice tea with mint near flat oddity. It has its hype and customers but this quality / price point is just a total joke regardless of what the legacy of this place might be. Lots of cats inside by even Istanbul standards. |
70 /100 James Joyce Irish Pub (Bar) ISTIKLAL CADESSA BALO SK. NO 26 34435 BEYOGLU Visited twice, once during the day & once in the evening. Both times there were unbelievably drunk and loud British people at the bar. Russian, Spanish etc. tourists in all kinds of stages of sloshed. TV on sports. Clientele is a bit lets get trashed tourists. Gaspar Noé looking bartender is a bona fide saint. Still this is a peak beer place in Istanbul because besides all the usual macro garbage on tap that is needed in this kind of "Irish" Pub they had 3 Kafadar NEIPA in pints on tap - by far best beer I had in Istanbul plus Mosaic IPA. Pints at that what a bottle cost elsewhere. Fridge has plenty of Turkish craft too, Gara Gazu that I had was old & bad but that seems to be the case everywhere. Costumers might suck sometimes but the beer is golden & the bartender is a saint. |
68 /100 Más - Opia Pub (Restaurant) ASMALı MESCIT, GÖNÜL SK. NO:13 Older online reviews talk about this place having a good number of taps & craft but most recent review doesn't. Not sure what the situation is. Anyway about 5 specialty beers available 3 Kafadar, Knidos, Chimay, St. Bernardus. Really good service and no service fee when I just got a beer. Turkish beer is around 160 Lira but who knows what in the future about as elsewhere. Large pizza & Italian food menu including vegan, didn't eat it. Interesting perhaps to eat but not big of a beerplace these days, still notable for Istanbul.

70 /100 ASMALı MESCIT, JURNAL SK. NO:4 Located in the touristic heart of Karaköy - Taproomx is a very modern day style Western style taproom, spacious & modern, a bit above street level. There's a really good looking music instalation too, no proper use of it when visited. Slick, looks great. About 10 beers or theirs on tap with range of styles from NEIPA to Lager to Nitro Stout. Negroni on tap too & 4 guest of so from 3 Kafadar which seems to be by far the best Turkish brewery. Good service. Looks very promising so far, very good. Unfortunately the first beer I tried to order was soo fizzy / foamy that I asked for something else since it just couldn't be poured. Second beer was also still fizzy as hell. Nitro Stout had an almost sourish taste, their own beers are just not on point. On top craft beer is expensive in Istanbul and this place is no different - 140 to 160 Lira for 33 cl. which is bound to change given the inflation in Turkey. 10 % service fee on top too, burgers, vegan options, Western Hipster food. I was a bit disappointed but in hindside it doesn't really get that much better in Istanbul for beer still the quality of their beer simply needs to improve - interior isn't everything. |
62 /100 ESENTEPE MAH., EMEKLI SUBAY EVLERI,, YıLDıZ POSTA CD, GAYRETTEPE I’ve been here before! It must have been a few years ago when i travelled by train from London to Istanbul on the Simplon route of the Istanbul Express. Almost oasis protected by fences and green bushes in the middle of a concrete traffic machine. They serve beers from Knidos. They have some shining stainless steel brewing equipment behind the bar The beer I had was quite mediocre. Times change. There are nicer neighbourhoods and better beer destinations in Istanbul. |
66 /100 Varuna Gezgin (Bar) SAHKULU MAHALLESI, KUMBARACı YKS. NO:79, BEYOĞLU Visited 02.09.23 on a detour from the metro to the hostel. All taps were industrial European macros, like Carlsberg, Tuborg and Stella. Luckily they had three different bottles from the local Frederik brewery among all the Carslbergs, Tuborgs and the like. Superb atmosphere and friendly service, though. I sat at the bar on their terrace. A very nice place, but not a beer destination. For that, Taproomx a few minutes away is a better choice. This place is probably better for cocktails. |
54 /100 ASMALı MESCIT, JURNAL SK. NO:4 The prices are just funny and completely illogical (you guys aren't in Sweden, you know that, right?). Shame, this place has potential but it's going on the route of taking advantage of people who love craft beer. |
100 /100 Sanayi 1A (Bar) 2. KISIM 1.SOK NO 1 MASLAK Great selection of local beers. Always fresh and cold. |
46 /100 The İrish Pub CKM (Bar) CADDEBOSTAN, BAĞDAT CAD, HALDUN TANER SK. NO:11 Nothing special, they claim to be a brewery but they're not. Quite overpriced and a very boring selection of mostly mainstream beers. Avoid. |
62 /100 Macrocenter (Grocery Store) , CADDEBOSTAN, KIRAZ ÇK. SK. NO: 2 D:6B The best selection of beers in that part of the city. |
54 /100 Cold Shop (Beer Store) CADDEBOSTAN, CADDEBOSTAN PLAJ YOLU SK. NO:32 Managed to find one local craft beer can I couldn't find anywhere else in the city, so for that the place gets some bonus points. But overall this shop is rather pricey for no real reason. |
60 /100 BAGDAT CADDESI 290/A, CADDEBOSTAN, KADIKOY Great selection, good service and the whole complex looks quite cool yet this might be one of the most expansive places to drink a pint in the whole of Turkey and because of that I don't fancy this place so much. |
64 /100 KıLıÇALI PAŞA MAH. MECLIS-I MEBUSAN CAD L5 BLOK NO: 8/2D KAT: ZEMIN - 1, 34433 The Populist have decided to open another pub, this time in the brand new & fancy Galataport. Really nice location, the beers and service are good but the prices are just as insane as ever. But crazy prices or no crazy prices, if you are dying for a good pint of craft beer in Istanbul? This place is worth a visit for sure. |
56 /100 Karga (Bar) CAFERAĞA MAHALLESI, KADIFE SK. NO:16, KADıKÖY Ok place for live shows, the selection is rather poor and boring. |
68 /100 Taps Bebek (Bar) CEVDETPASA CD. NO:119, BEBEK No idea why this place got such a low score here, but I kinda enjoyed this spot. Good beers on tap and a great view. |
72 /100 James Joyce Irish Pub (Bar) ISTIKLAL CADESSA BALO SK. NO 26 34435 BEYOGLU Really cool place if you wanna play darts and fancy a good local IPA on tap. |
68 /100 Varuna Gezgin (Bar) SAHKULU MAHALLESI, KUMBARACı YKS. NO:79, BEYOĞLU Prices can be kinda high for Turkish standards, but at least the selection isn't too bad and the vibes are great so I guess this place is worth a visit. |
52 /100 Craft Beer Lab (Bar) ŞAIR NEDIM CD. NO:4, SINANPAŞA MAHALLESI, BEŞIKTAŞ Located in a very busy area with insane night life, the place itself is pretty pleasant, but don't let the name of the place fool you. Yeah, they have some craft beers, but mostly generic US/UK beers. They had a few beers on tap from 3 Kafadar and Efes, including flights of 4 x 12.5cl for 113 TL (about $7 USD). None of the beers were any good, but most were just passably drinkable. Don't expect much here, but there are some Turkish ticks here if you need them. |
60 /100 Maça Colored Bottles (Beer Store) DIKILITAŞ MAHALLESI, EMIRHAN CD. NO:88, BEŞIKTAŞ Visited virtually 16/5/2022. My wife was in Istanbul for a conference so I sent her up here to get some Turkish craft beer to bring home. I couldn’t find contact details for the shop in advance to check it out beforehand but from the couple of reviews it looked promising. My wife video called me from the shop. Sadly they had no craft beer. Only stocked EFES and Tuborg (plus a range of foreign mostly macro stuff). Admittedly it was a good selection of EFES and Tuborg and she was able to get me 7 I’d not had before (in addition to 4 she’d already got from a shop near her hotel) but nothing from craft breweries. Place looked well presented from the video, service was fine, but nothing crafty to be had. |
62 /100 MODA CAD. NO:70 Nice British style pub, just a shame the place is way overly priced for Turkish standards. |
58 /100 Biergarten (Bar) CIHANNÜMA, BARBAROS BLV. NO:81 A German style pub with a great typical German food menu, yet rather expansive for Turkish standards. Still, worth a visit if you're around the block. |
62 /100 CAFERAĞA, SARRAF ALI SK. NO33/B Cute little brewpub with 3 beers on tap with very fair prices and great service too. |
64 /100 Belfast Irish Pub (Bar) DR. ESAT ISIK CAD. NO:28 Really nice place and the only one I found a Kilkenny on tap in Istanbul. Shame the place is a bit pricey for Turkish standards. |
74 /100 Rind Pipo (Beer Store) CAFERAGA MAH. SARRAF ALI SOKAK NO:3 KADIKOY Not sure why the low rating for this lovely shop. Great and the largest selection of local craft beers I've seen thus far in Turkey, very fast service and fair prices. A must visit. |
64 /100 İstmarina Macrocenter (Grocery Store) KORDONBOYU, ANKARA CD. One of the biggest selections of beer I've seen in Istanbul with quite a few rare local craft bottles. Worth a visit. |
44 /100 Craft Beer Lab (Bar) ŞAIR NEDIM CD. NO:4, SINANPAŞA MAHALLESI, BEŞIKTAŞ Very slow service and the selection was nothing special. Avoid. |
70 /100 BAGDAT CADDESI 290/A, CADDEBOSTAN, KADIKOY The second location for the bar/restaurant on the Asian side of Istanbul. Large beer garden outside that has retractable roof and a quite sizeable closed area behind it. They have all imported beer available in Turkey in addition to a nice selection of local craft beer from 5-6 microbreweries in Turkey. Quite a loud music, and pretentious servers is a nuisance but worth the time to visit and sample the latest Turkish microbrews. The food menu is also quite appealing but I didn't try any. |
48 /100 Beer Plus (Bar) 27 SEHIT ASIM CADDESI Yet another bar I'm not so sure why was added here as there's nothing special about it, just 4 usual boring options on tap and a few bottles. Not worth your time. |
64 /100 Maça Colored Bottles (Beer Store) DIKILITAŞ MAHALLESI, EMIRHAN CD. NO:88, BEŞIKTAŞ Cute shop with some rare local craft beers I didn't manage to find anywhere else in the city. Great service as well. Worth a visit if you really got nothing better to do. |
54 /100 United Pub (Bar) BEşIKTAş (ŞEHIT ASıM CAD.), 34353 İSTANBUL, TÜRKIYE Ok, I guess, their pale ale is awful but at least they have a good selection of bottles. Very crowded even on a weekday. |
64 /100 ESENTEPE MAH., EMEKLI SUBAY EVLERI,, YıLDıZ POSTA CD, GAYRETTEPE Cute place, very good service yet the beers themselves were rather average in my humble opinion. |
66 /100 BOMONTI ADA, TARIHI BIRA FABRIKASI, SISLI Great complex, good selection of their own brewed beer just a shame the service was rather slow. |
56 /100 James Joyce Irish Pub (Bar) ISTIKLAL CADESSA BALO SK. NO 26 34435 BEYOGLU Visited on november 2020. Nice pub atmosphere, the place is very hot at winter. The beer selection is not very atractive, but there's no much other options in that country. |
56 /100 BOMONTI ADA, TARIHI BIRA FABRIKASI, SISLI Visited on november 2020. Very nice and fancy place, crowded with young well dressed people at a friday night. The service is very good, the food is ok, bu the beers are quite mediocre. They serve beer flights. |
100 /100 Vamos estambul restaurant&cafe (Restaurant) ALEMDAR, TICARETHANE SOKAK. NO 39 D.42 FATIH The best restaurant in istanbul |
54 /100 United Pub (Bar) BEşIKTAş (ŞEHIT ASıM CAD.), 34353 İSTANBUL, TÜRKIYE Bar in crowds place near many different bars in Beşiktaş district. Common beers from world: Tuborg, Guinness and etc. There are some Turkish craft beers, but not so many. Service is friendly, nice English speaking staff. |
