“This place is hard to describe really, Keld is a special place on both the Pennine Way and the C2C and also for that matter with cyclists. It is half way point on the C2C so people want to celebrate and since the local pub was shut down years ago this old bunk house converted to a posh hotel and restaurant is all that is available. Full of tourist walkers on packages eating good food, it doesn’t really cater for the scruffy walker who wants a beer, but there is one available. I wouldn’t pick this place out but when you reach half way it’s worth a punt.“
