| 50 /100 Bier Stube - LeClaire (Restaurant) 1001 CANAL SHORE DR SW “Oh the beer tube. Or Bier Stube. Whatever. I have a group of friends that meet up yearly in this area. We usually stay at the holiday inn a block away so the beer tube is the place to get drinks. Nothing much of interest on tap, but probably the best place to drink beer in town. Uneducated and young wait staff gives the service you’d expect. Food is decent. Prices are very low.“ |

Okay tap/bottle list focusing on German styles with good representation from the big German breweries. List balanced out with macros, a Belgian or two, and even a couple of the better local QC breweries represented. Aside from the aforementioned, the best American craft beer I saw on the menu was the Schlafly IPA. There’s nothing rare or terribly exciting on the beer list, but for the QC, this is as good as it gets. Other places with decent selections include the handful of breweries, and RIBCO; which has a combination of an uniformed client base and a great connection with Founders! ...but I digress. Bier Stube. Great food. One of the better selections in the QC (though not very good), very good service, nice view of the river. With few other options, this is at the top of my list when I visit home.“ |
