Corn Mill (Restaurant)
DEE LANE, LLANGOLLEN
“This is a converted old mill right on the bank of the River Dee in Llangollen, down a small side street. It is 3 levels but we managed to get in by the bar on the ground floor. This is a lovely conversion keeping plenty of the atmosphere of the place. There are 5 hand pulls, all in operation on our visit and they did have a Mild on.“

“Busy but enjoyable pub with restaurant set in a converted flour mill with water wheel set on the raging river Dee, with a range of 5 pumps serving cask ales“

“Visited on 2nd June 2018. This is a regular in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, and rightly so. 10 hand-pulls and some Belgian offerings on tap and in bottles. Large single roomed place with a patio area to one side of the building. Basic, rustic and friendly place. A true throwback to a proper Freehouse Pub.“

Baileys Fine Foods (Beer Store)

“Small deli in central Llangollen with a great selection of Welsh produce sourced from across the country. It's a real shame that a lot of Welsh products do not seem to cross the border, but this is an ideal opportunity to stock up on Welsh-made stuff such as jams, chili sauce, chocolate, cheese, oggies (Welsh pasties) and even seaweed crisps (I recommend the chili and coconut!). There is also a good selection of Welsh spirits, wine, mead, beer and a couple of ciders. Welsh traditional ale, admittedly, can be hit and miss but there are plenty of solid breweries on offer including a few modern offerings from Swansea newcomers West by Three. Well worth a stop if driving through, but good luck with parking!“

“Brunning & Price pub with a prime location next to the river in Llangollen. We visited on an extremely hot day after walking a couple of miles along the canal from Horseshoe Falls. Lots of outside seating, though we had to wait a short while as it was so busy. Typical B&P pub with attention given to fine wine, gin & food with a limited selection of uninspiring traditional ales. That said they were in good condition and cool. Food is decent but pricy, however its a great outside seating area so on a nice day like today its worth sucking up the extra cost.“
