“Visited on opening day, 9th April 2024. Refreshing reincarnation of the original Duke of St Albans after a spell as a restaurant and a failed wine bar. Interior is very traditional with plenty of wood panelling, subdued lighting, comfortable seating and a spacious open plan interior. Almost an American feel. No fewer than 22 taps, including six hand pumps, one of them a cider. Among the cask offer was Harvey’s, Five Point, Oakham, Titanic and Redemption. Four of the keg beers are from Saint Monday Brewery in Hackney - the pub’s associated brewer. This pub deserves to succeed, and will have no end of custom from the Heath as well as from local backstreets. I’ve yet to try out the food offer, but it’s only a matter of time.“

“Visited on a Wednesday evening. The Russian bath experience was nice. It’s fun to see they also have a few house kvass options, along with a Latvian kvass and a few refreshing lagers. Good food on offer - we had Russian salad and a platter with ham, pickles, fish, onion, lard, potatoes and sauerkraut. Prices are decent in general. Staff was friendly. Not a beer destination but a nice experience with some fresh kvass as a bonus.“

90 /100 23 HIGH PATH
“Brilliant real ale pub in South London. It shut down a few years ago but has reopened. Situated on a suburban street next to a housing estate, it's an odd looking place. Like a converted shop/house. Inside is cosy with a small bar. Highlight here is that right now this is serving some of the best cask ale in London. Probably top 3. Regular on cask is Surrey Hills Shere Drop, and then on keg London Black and a genuine German pils. Regularly features Kernel on cask too. Inside it's a cosy locals pub and one of the friendliest places I've been. Also serve cask properly with vigour so it has a decent creamy head.“

“Recently reopened corner pub virtually opposite Crouch Hill Overground station. Timeless décor and a low ceiling afford an intimate feel, with a mix of seating from tables to booths. Relaxing yet vibrant range of music played on vinyl. A small upright piano is in place for planned live music. Pleasant vibe and friendly, enthusiastic team at the bar. Up to six casks, ten kegs and 4 real ciders available. An eclectic mix of clientele on my visit of 17th October 2023. My pint of Cloudwater Piccadilly Gold was on fine form. Well worth a visit; after the efforts made this enterprise deserves to succeed.“

“Nice old pub on the west side of Euston Station. About 20 taps included 5 hand pumps with pretty interesting stuff on them. A few macro lagers, but also quite a few interesting craft beers on keg as well. Really great Sunday roast. Good place.“

72 /100 27-28, OLD JAMAICA BUSINESS ESTATE, 24 OLD JAMAICA RD
“Reason for adding is the lack of much needed food options at the Bermondsey mile. This place is pretty close to the beer places, food is very good and they do have a choice of 4 sakes and 5 or 6 bottled craft beers. Sake we've tried was better than the most of others I've had so far. Be warned it's not easy to find, tucked in a corner of seemingly abandoned industrial courtyard inside the railway arch.“

76 /100 UNIT 10, SOUTHSIDE SHOPPING CENTRE, GARRATT LANE
“Новый Брюдог, хорошие и удобные сиденья, в целом приятна чистота. Выбор пива скажем честно средний, кранов много при этом. Еда тоже на месте. В целом просто нормально.“

Fatto Pizza & Beer (Restaurant)
UNIT 1, 3 PANCRAS SQUARE
“Nice pizza place with a small beer selection on tap. The pizza is excellent, reasonably priced for the quality/location. The beer range featured mainly Unbarred during our visit, with a Hammerton NA beer as well. The beers are definitely on the pricey side. Very friendly staff, accommodating. Nice location in this fairly recently developed part of Kings Cross. The outdoor seating area is lovely of weather allows. Certain worth a stop for the pizza and a beer.“

74 /100 UNIT 10, SOUTHSIDE SHOPPING CENTRE, GARRATT LANE
“Visited March 2023 - pretty easy to find as part of the well known Southside shopping centre, normal kind of Brewdog setup, lots of taps of their own lines as well as some guests, was also some Irish beers from their recent St Patricks day TTO, so managed to tick a few of these plus some of the Brewdog Berlin beers on. Fairly spacious with lots of seating available, staff friendly/efficient, overall a good spot to combine with the nearby Sambrooks brewery/taproom/restaurant.“
