82 /100 1310 W WAYZATA BLVD Really cool lakefront spot. Downstairs is the brewpub and upstairs an upscale restaurant. But considering the clientele and prices, the bottom is upscale too. Also a large outdoor seating area for the brewpub.Selection of about 10 beers, several sours and IPAs. Service was friendly. Good atmosphere in the brewery, and the upstairs area is even nicer. My fried chicken and my wife’s brisket were delicious. |
78 /100 1310 W WAYZATA BLVD Upscale lakeside supper club with a brewpub downstairs. Didn’t go upstairs but the brewpub is cozy and reminiscent of a north woods/lakeside bar. Was very impressed with the blood orange Berliner. Overlooks of the lake, nice vibe, will return. |
82 /100 1310 W WAYZATA BLVD Great spot with excellent beer and good food. Ate in the brewpub overlooking the lake (frozen lake) while enjoying about 10 different beers. Service was excellent, very cool atmosphere and vibe. Definitely a gem |
84 /100 1310 W WAYZATA BLVD A very cool brewpub out in the burbs. A supper club upstairs and down stairs a more traditional brewpub with a large bar and picnic style seating and some standard tables. Service was good and bartender was familiar with all the beers. 8 beers on tap at my visit but looks like they may be able to have more. Samplers were available. Food was quite good. I really enjoyed the burger. Prices were overall reasonable. I will definitely be back and a great addition to the west burbs! |
88 /100 1310 W WAYZATA BLVD What an awesome spot! Terrific atmosphere and a gorgeous elevated view over the lake. 2 oz tasters available for a buck per. First 4 beers were quite good. Met Alex, the assistant brewer, who is a really nice guy. This is a gem and a must visit. Didn’t eat, but it looks like they have a cool menu, including Kramarzuk’s sausage.
Update - the food is amazing. The beers continue to be executed with near perfection. This is one of my absolute favorite spots in the Twin Cities. |
50 /100 1832 WAYZATA BLVD Average food, average beer selection but very inexpensive. Been to a lot of places that were worse, but this place isn’t great. |
64 /100 1832 WAYZATA BLVD This is likely the place you imagine when you picture a typical Minnesota watering hole - clean and friendly - a bunch of breweriana.
Beer quality: yikes, not much going for it here... half a dozen BMC’s on tap plus Grainbelt, Summit EPA and their namesake "Red Rooster Amber" which is contract brewed by August Schell. This beer has been served at the Rooster for years and a part of me suspects that it’s nearly a clone of Nordeast which is now widely distributed by Schell’s. In bottles, there’s nothing any more impressive. It gains a half point, though, for always keeping extremely fresh taps.
Service is excellent. Lots of super friendly waitresses that somehow manage to keep their cool when the late night crowd rolls in.
Very good food. If you like burgers, they are a must. Also, they have nightly specials from 75 cent tacos to steak dinners.
The price of the beer is typical for what it is. The food is under-priced if you ask me.
Overall, this is a regular spot for me. Not a beer destination but an awesome place to get some fish and chips and an EPA. |
