76 /100 Greenfields liquor Store (Beer Store) 53 MURDOCH DRIVE Quite surprised by this one. Led here by Mrs Navman, after my partners need for a roadie became too apparent on our way through to the south-west for St. Pat’s - jealousy begrudgingly withheld on my part. Busy store in all that they retail. Seems they do everything. Boxed sets, come glassware, come party pack, you name it. Lots of spirits, good selection of odd ball wines amongst the usual Aussie fare and then the beer which takes up a good third of the store. Good to see the Trappist beers all on show this part of the WA - no offence Mandurah. And quite a few unheard of’s with the odd yet to try’s. Good prices too. Friendly staff and management offer to get it in if they don’t yet stock which I found great. Pity I won’t ever call Mandurah home ’cause this was a gem. |
72 /100 Vernon Arms Tavern (Bar) LOT 71 MANDURAH RD (CNR OUTRIDGE), BALDIVIS Cosy, British style pub kept a secret in its out-of-the-way location on the old Mandurah road. Great selection of bottled British, European and Australian beers, and the odd micro on tap. A nice, quiet spot for a pint. |
