“On main Street of. former mill town that looks like it's seen better days, and is now just a waypoint for people heading somewhere else. Street parking is metered, and although it's just 25 cents and hour, you do need coins and I had none. When I asked the barman for change of a dollar he just gave me a bunch of quarters and didn't take my money, and that turned out to be the start of a very friendly and welcoming experience. Looks like a former storefront, big glass windows, long bar with stools and a handful of bar tables. Two firkins behind the bar, another positive sign. Beer garden next door with picnic tables, only in summer. One cooler with can and really interesting barrel-aged beers in bottles, both 375s and 750s. Wide variety of beer styles on draft, included only one token NEIPA; Belgian styles predominated. Beers were tasty and creative, and although no small pours or flights were available, the barman offered samples without my asking. Small bar food menu, heavy on the bacon, made at a tiny counter next to the bar. A very worthwhile stop.“

“Small little place on one of the main streets in Maynard. Several selections on tap and available in cans to go.“
