“This place opened about a week ago. Their beers are excellent considering their short 1 week history. Out of 6 beers, 3 are excellent, 2 are very good and one is so-so. I tried the IPA and the Porter. The next time you are in Medellin (haha) this is a definite must stop for a pint kind of place.“

“About 10 mins walk from Metro stop Niquia (end of the line). Residental neighbourhood, but lots of bars on the way. The place is kinda small, but has outside (covered) seating. There are a couple other places next to it. 9 taps, when I visited (Sunday afternoon), only 5 beers were kegged. Out of those 5 beers, I was able to find two new brewery ticks (one brewery I have not heard at all before). They do a tasting tray with 4 beers for 12k. They have some bottles but only the regulars (BBC, 3C, Macros). Worthwhile stop on the Medellin Beer Curcuit.“

“The place is very non-descript. On the outside you just see a metal door next to a car repair place. Past the door you walk up a flight of stairs. Industrial looking place, with geeky beer deco. Next to the bar you see all the brewing equipment (the brewery itself is not that big). I got there at 6pm on Friday (opening time was 5pm), and the kegs were not even connected yet. The guy was happy to connect them once when I got there though (but I think he felt a bit stressed). While I was there, one guy was still working in the brewery (filling kegs). They are happy to let you try the beer before ordering, but no options for tasters. After that its pint sized glasses. They have 14 taps, of those 4 were out (two of these were non-locals though (Delirum and another belgian beer)). I tried the Cream Ale by La Planta itself, which was nice. And then a Black IPA by Espiga. Aparently a lot of other breweries brew there, so they have a nice mix of different local breweries. No food. Close to the metro station, so can be easily reached from for example Poblado. Cool place, worth the visit.“

“Veggie / Vegan restaurant in El Poblado. They have 3 Craft Breweries on the menu (Sierra Blanca, TorreAlta & Hakuna). When I asked the waiter mentioned about 2-3 beers per brewery (bottles only). So nothing too exciting, lots of places offer more nowadays. I was there for lunch and the food is good, although portions were a bit small. Patio overlooking the road. Better options in El Poblado, although not during lunch. Not really a must see.“

“I went on a Wednesday evening and I was the only person there. At first I dropped by shortly after official opening hour (5pm) and the place looked like it would not open at all. I went somewhere else and came by again an hour later and it was open. This is the joint place of breweries Espiga, Valle Verde and ÖlBröder. They have 10 taps but 4 were out. I guess this would be different if I visited on the weekend. They offer flights, which are usually 4 for 15k, but on Wednesday you get 5 for the same price. I ordered 3 tasters by Valle Verde, and 1 each from ÖlBröder (cocoa stout) and Espiga (American Stout). The quality of the beers really blew me away. There were two (Valle Verde Wit & Wheat Ale with Rosemary) that were good but also a bit gimicky, but the other 3 were really really good. As I said I was very surprised by the quality. Will try to drop by on a weekend to see what they have. Very very recommended when in El Poblado.“

“Brewpub in a convenient location in Poblado. Equipment is visible right from the pub. Very limited offer though. (I went there on Wednesday evening). 3 taps when I was there, no bottles. Also not super exciting styles. They had a Blond Ale, Bitter and Amber Ale when I was there. I tried the first and last. Blonde Ale was alright. Amber Ale had some issues. I was told they would put more taps on on Friday (Porter and NEIPA), so on the weekend might be more interesting. They let you tried the beers before ordering, but no tasters. Bit cheaper than other places in the area. Worth it to have a look.“

“Tiny hipsterish place in El Poblado. 9 taps and a fridge with about 30-40 bottles from quite a few different local craft breweries. Nice design, this place could be anywhere in Copenhagen, London or Berlin. At the time of my visit they had 3 of their own beers and the rest was of other craft breweries. I think one or two beers were out. Unfortunatly the beers only mentions style / beer name but not the brewery, so its important to ask. Good english spoken here though. They do tasting trays of 4. I had a taster of 3 of their own and a NWIPA from a Medelling-brewery that I have not seen at any other place (Paramonte). Beers were decent and drinkable. I visited on a Wednesday right after opening and the place filled up quickly, but since its small I guess that is easy. I think they offer some pizzas, but I have not tried myself. Worth the visit. (online beer menu (both bottles and taps) was very outdated at my time of visit, so dont rely on that).“

“Place close to Punta Arena (max 7 mins walk). Apparently they just opened up a month ago. 10 taps (of 5 different Micros breweries). Mix of hoppy stuff and stouts. The guys were happy to let me taste some beers. Quite good english spoken (by one of the guys). Overall good and friendly service, the guys are happy to talk beer. Tap beers where in good shape. They also have a fridge with beers, some Macros and Imports plus quite a few 20 Mission bottles and some Hakuna beers. I paid 20k for two glasses of beer. Would not be suprised if they upped their game over the next months and years. Recommended overall, especially easy to combine with a visit to Punta Arena. Also a good option if you need something to do on a Monday.“

“This place is beer heaven. 12 taps and about 90 - 100 bottles of Colombian Craft Beers. About 30 different breweries (the majority of those is hard to get usually). The have a few Colombian Macros and some Imports, but who cares about those. The place itself is tiny, but they have a very spacious outside patio that is also mostly covered in case of rain. Very convenient opening hours (compared to most other beers places in Medellin). Very good service as well, they were happy to let me taste quite a few of the beers. All the bottles are stored in fridges. Prices are very decent too. With the expection of maybe 4 or 5 beers all are in the 9-12k range. Take away is an option too. Most extensive beer list I have seen anywhere in Colombia so far. Very recommended place, I will definitly try to visit again! About 15-20 mins walk from the Metro (station Suramericana)“

“More like a sports bar kind of thing. They have of their own (contract brewed beers). The waitress was not toally sure, but thinks they are brewed at 3 Cordilleras. Service was not super attentive, but they were nice and let me try all the beers before I decided on something (shot glass style). Apart from their own, they also have the 3 Cordilleras beers on tap. Also a rather big list with imports. Pretty good spot to people watch though. The Pale Ale had some issues with cleanliness, but the others was good, favorite was the Sweet Stout. Nothing too exciting here, but worth it for the tick (and its super convenient location).“

“This place is a must stop if you are in Parque Lleras and want to track down beers by TorreAlta, Sierra Blanca and others. They didn't have a list when I was there as it changes often, but they had 5 different bottles when I was there. Unfortunately missed out on the TorreAlta Justa bottle the brewery makes specially for the restaurant, but all the others were awesome. Cool set up, and the music was sweet old 90s hiphop. Alas, not everything is perfect as the place is vegan. Perhaps that will suit some people at least.“

“This place is the stand in brewery for Espiga, which seems to brew more styles of beer than anyone else in Colombia, that I'm aware of. Friendly place with 10 beers on tap when I was there. All available in flights. Nice patio and lively as most places in Medellin. Friendly staff. Beer is just OK with a couple of decent ones. No major flaws at least. Wasn't too busy earlier on a Friday. “

“Probably the best beer destination in Medellin I've been to so far, though their own beer wasn't the greatest. They had about 4 of their own beers on tap when I visited but about 20 taps overall, including many guests from other Medellin craft breweries. Small garage type place about a 5 minute taxi ride from Parque Lleras. Their stuff was available in flights but you can only get the guest stuff by glass. Their own stuff was just ok, with some infection problems. Definitely a necessary stop on the beer circuit in Medellin right now. Lively place on a Friday night. Service just OK.“

“Nice place with six different beers on tap, all consistent for style and well done. Very new, polished place that seems hip with the locals. Had a big screen there I assume they use to play movies some nights. I had blue cheese burger which was refreshing good after eating crappy Colombian street burgers much of the time. They do a flight of their six on tap. Hopefully they begin experimenting a bit, but seems like they just run the six for now. Really liked the saison and dark beer they had. Service good.“

“Cool place in the Lleras park area. Small hole-in-the-wall vibe with some of the best beer in the city. Mario only had three beers on tap when I was here but they were all good for style, with the stout and pale ale being above average. They don't do flights here. Very small operation, with just a couple of fermentors in the back. Hopefully he does well enough to grow the operation as quality is a focus here. Says he makes the beer with his girlfriend.“

“Fairly typical example of the BBC chain, though it had at least one beer I hadn't previously had. Open patio in quieter section of Parque Lleras neighborhood. Not worth a stop in and of itself unless you haven't had any of the BBC things yet and you'd like to knock off a flight in short period. You'd otherwise be better off at other places nearby. Service fine.“

“I have a feeling this will be the best place for beer I will see in Medellin, though I may be speaking prematurely. Nice patio overlooking Parque Lleras. Service is great - they will let you taste the beers if you ask for degustacion. They have most of the 3 Cordilleras and Apostal beers available on tap as well as whatever bottles the companies have. Their international selection highlights are a line of La Trappe beers, Duvel, and Delerium tremens and Nocturnum. Everything else is more or less lagers from around the world. Prices are ok, about $3-$4 for most taps. Surprising that they don’t have the BBC beers as they seem to be widely available in surrounding stores and supermarkets.“
