“Stopped in here after jury duty and prior to Celtics starting what would be a very drunken evening. Smallish spot in downtown Medford, apparently with nice weather big patio and right near train stop. The hours seem to fluctuate by month as it’s a smaller operation. The owner was super nice and good conversation. Really appreciated that they are open on a Monday so often very hard to find a brewery on this day of week. Good varietal of styles and beers pretty good.“

“Larger, warehouse style liquor store with a decent beer selection. Good local choices, some random rarities, especially internationally. Worth a trip if in the area.“

“A decent selection but not much rhyme or reason where stuff was located. One gentleman that answered my question didn’t know much. Would stop by again but nothing to write home about.“

Kappy’s Liquors (Beer Store)

“I stopped in here this past weekend while in town. My gps got a little confused at the busy intersection in front of this store so I was in the wrong lane as I drove past the store and had to circle around. So if you’ve been to a Kappy’s before you know its got that liquor supermarket feel to it so walking in I wasn’t expecting much, I’m glad I was surprised. Beer is off in the back right hand corner a couple of shelves of bombers, a couple more warm sixers, many cooler doors. Decent selection, I found some dark intrigue on the shelf. The beer guy came over and we started talking beer. A couple of minutes into our conversation and I’ve got a Firestone 15 in my hand from out back. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. The only negative aspect was the unfriendly, I hate my job and I’m going to take it out on you attitude I got from the cashier. I’d go back if I was in the area again.“

“Decent place for a quick stop... get the seasonals and some other decent stuff. Not a spot for the uber rare like Julios and such.“

Kappy’s Liquors (Beer Store)

“A chain of liquor, wine, beer stores in Boston area. This was the only one I’ve been to so far and came away with a decent hall: ST Mokah, Hop Stoopid, Speakeasy Old Godfather, Midas Touch, Founder’s Double Trouble and Centennial. They have all the micros in 6ers, cases, bombers and tall boys. A saw 2 growlers of Rogue Dead Guy and Opa-Opa Steakhouse and Brewery IPA. Some bombers from Nantucket and Vermont besides others of Chimay, Ommegang, Lagunitas, Victory Hop Devil and a Sam Adam’s Double Bock in a pretty small bottle for too much money. Didn’t have anyone ask if I needed help but I found everything I needed fine and they were friendly at the cash register. Best part of this place is the GINORMOUS Kappy’s Liquor sign on the front of the building, can’t miss it.“

“It’s a Massachusetts Liquor supermarket chain. I have been to the one in Cambridge as well and also the one in Brighton. If there is no other place to go that has what you are looking for chances are high that you will find it here. They do have cigars by the way. You will find trappist beers (Chimay and Achel), they have some good English, German and other Belgian beers too (the popular ones.) They also have Quebec beers like Unibroue and a fairly good Micro brew selection as well as your standard Macro swill like Bud, Coors, etc...If you can find someone to help you they usually don’t know too much though but they are friendly.“

“At the intersection of Routes 16 & 28. You can’t miss it with the giant green neon KAPPY’S sign. A huge liquor store with a pretty good beer selection. Lots of singles and some harder to find stuff.“
