“Busy and clearly popular Brauhaus, with a friendly welcome and hospitable atmosphere. Just serves the one regular beer - which was good - and then occasional specials and a couple of bottles Food looked very good. Sells home produced mustard too. Worth a visit.“

“Nice brewpub, but only one beer on tap. Occasionally though they have a specialty beer on. They have their own mustard mill and sell six different mustards as well. Nice view of their copper kettles too. Lots of locals herehaving lunch when I visited.“

“A quite nicely located brewery with a big Biergarten (atleast Summertime) and some places to sit inside as well. Service was a bit dull, and beers we’re not served in anything smaller than 0,40 litres (even though I saw some leaflets on the tables stating also smaller amounts were to be gotten). Food (Bratwurst"roll") was really tasty though. Seemed to be popular among older people, some families and a whole lot of Motorcyclists.“

“Late afternoon 30th Dec 2011: last opening until 1st Feb 2012, they close for a month every Jan. They keep serving until the beer runs out on this last opening of the year: only one beer on tap, their regular blonde as they’d run down their other beers already. This is a smart, new looking, modern brewpub with the brew kit in pride of place to your right as you walk into the large two storey open plan bar/brewery. It’s in the middle of wine growing country, not far from the Luxembourg border (where we’d come from) and well worth being driven too! The design although modern and airy is prone to high levels of customer noise because upstairs opens out above you and the conversations just fall down on to you, with what seems like enhanced acoustics and on my visit the place was filling up with noisy people. The food looked good but we’d already eaten so didn’t have anything. “

“Nice area - relaxing place. Limited seating inside but a large outdoor area. Menu is kind of limited with just regional fair. Still a good stop, and like Bierkrug said, you can drop the wife off at Villeroy and Boch and drink to forget how much she is spending.“

“Superb hausbrauerei only 5 minutes walk of the railway station at the bottom of a short hill. Still only the two beers on but the helles really is very good“

“A great place. Beer is good and they have unusal foods. It has a great open outdoor location. A tip drop off the wife at the Villroy and Boch factory outlet and enjoy. Service and food are very good.“

“A very large cafe/restaurant, but it has still a nice atmosphere. It is a clean place. The staff is very friendly and informative. The food is very good. It was a pity, that they only 2 beers of there own brewery. But that gives a reason to go back some time.“

“First visited April 2001 with many happy returns thru 2002. This is a pretty big stand-alone restaurant with a classic copper sudhaus. In warm weather, there’s a nice outdoor patio biergarten. In cold weather, the packed house inside on two levels will keep you warm. My wife and I very much enjoyed this place ... it’s a bit more modern and airy than its more traditional outposts, but again, there’s no such thing as a bad brauhaus in Germany.“
