Better location (easier to find) and changed their name (used to be Summer Sun Garden and Brew). Owner was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you can't find what you are looking for in the singles cooler, he'll gladly break a sixer for you. Excellent selection of local beer, new releases, hard to find, top notch and import beer. Love coming here every summer.“ |

Service was excellent. Our server was both fast and friendly. Food was excellent. Had a good kids menu. The kids loved their root beer floats. Had a good selection of local beer. Pricing was reasonable. Our new favourite place to eat in Missoula. We’ll be back.“ |

We had to grab our own menus, cutlery and water, then we were told when we were ready to order to go to the till to order and pay. Our bill included a 15% tip, not sure for what. There was a waitress walking around, not sure what she does though. Food was excellent, but grossly overpriced. Decent selection of local beers and a few top notch. Overall, great food in a nice atmosphere, but with the lack of service and high prices we left feeling gouged. Probably won’t be back.“ |

Service is super friendly and gave us a bunch of free samples unprovoked -- super appreciated. Beer quality was mixed, with some good, some bad, and most being in the middle of the road. Worth a stop if in town; just beware that they have to stop serving beer at 8pm due to ridiculously prohibitive state liquor laws.“ |

Worth a stop if you have time.“ |
| 68 /100 The Bridge Pizza (Restaurant) 600 SOUTH HIGGINS “Stumbled upon this place on a family vacation. Very busy and hectic. Came around 3pm and found out happy hour is 3-5pm, so service was a little slow but friendly. Happy hour special was buy a slice of pizza get a free draft beer from one of two taps. All their craft beer was located in a glass deli counter where you order. Lots of craft sodas (probably more than beer) which the kids liked. Next time we will probably come before or after happy hour. Just too crazy and loud and not enough seating area. Food and beer was good though.“ |

A cozy interior with a small bar (just a few seats), tables, and outdoor patio. Lots of interesting artwork on the walls. They had live music when I visited (Irish music, I believe a weekly event). They had 8 beers on tap, and seemed to specialize in IPAs (I tried 2 of their NEIPAs and a west coast IPA, all excellent), but they have a few other styles and their abbey tripel was great. No food but there is free popcorn. A must stop for beer in Missoula.“ |

I tried the rye pale ale, Belgian golden ale, and witbier, and they were good (not standouts but solid). They have a pretty extensive food menu, with plenty of varied options (sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta, and other entrees). I got potato soup and a huge portion of pasta, both very delicious (and I could not finish my pasta). Overall, good food, beer is ok, but probably worth a stop.“ |

The beers were excellent and some interesting styles too (pale ale with green tea, English pale ale, coffee cream ale, sour ale with tomatillo salsa!, oatmeal stout). No food but there are food trucks I believe. This place along with Imagine Nation are must stops in Missoula (I would probably give a slight edge to this place based on the beer)!“ |

They have a large tap list (16 taps), lots of IPAs, which seem to be their specialty (they probably had at least 5 IPAs on). The Blood Knot IPA was pretty good. Other styles (czech pilsner and coconut porter) were not as good. Coincidence? In any case, I'd recommend trying one of their IPAs. No food, just snacks. Not my favorite stop in Missoula, but it was decent.“ |

The food lives up to the expectations you’d normally have for a "last stop of the night" (not that they aren’t open other times...just that other times there are likely better choices). The draft list was large enough with a number of local and regional choices. All in all...the place to visit when you’re looking for this kind of place...“ |

The taproom is big but well done...fun place and vibes (patio too...but too cold when I visited)...great staff...really enjoyed their attention and conversation. Loved the Scepter Head IPA, the Last Rites Mexican Chocolate Porter, and the Potato with a Mohawk Double Rye IPA. Also notable were the Dixon Melon Gose and Pineapple Express Tropical IPA. All in all a good time and a must visit when in Missoula.“ |

Fairly new so not well written about yet (so easy as a visitor to miss it)...not far from Bayern which was my first top (solid German style beers). This place has a great vibe...great atmosphere. Love the stained glass church window! The staff here are really great...struck up some very enjoyable conversations while visiting. Let’s not forget there was a really good jazz band playing while I was there...so definitely a good time! Now for the beers...all very good...and a couple were definitely exceptional. Lupujus 5 Session IPA was very good...but the Lupujus 8 IPA (more like double IPA at 8.5%) was an incredible milkshake IPA...the name now being used to describe the OJ/juicy/milkshake appearance northern Vermont/New England style of IPA that has taken the east by storm. Imagine Nation says they are the first to do this style in Montana. It was very well done (I come from NJ and travel to northern VT often...have had the best of the best of this style...Heady Topper & Sip O’ Sunshine...and Lupujus 8 is a very good representation of the style). Also noteworthy was the Freedom Fighter IPA (the milk stout and red ale were very nice too). I firmly believe a craftbeer trip to Missoula is not complete without a stop here. Go out of your way to drink craftbeer in Missoula...and make sure you include Imagine Nation.“ |
| 76 /100 1507 MONTANA STREET “Seems to be the highest rated brewery in Missoula after Tamarack (and although I didn’t go to Tamarack in Missoula...went to their Lakeside location south of Kalispell...and although I liked the place...didn’t think the beers were special...so it’s possible Tamarack might be rated a bit higher than it deserves beer-wise). As for Bayern...nice selection of German style beers...all good to better...none truly exceptional. The Schwarzbier might be the closest though. I did like the pilsner, helles, and the dunkelweizen. The bartender and patrons were great...all in all a good time on a Sunday afternoon (but not as good as my Missoula favorite...Imagine Nation).“ |

The selection of beer is pretty solid but not outstanding. Lots of locals, PNW brews, and a fair amount of imports. The only drawback is the single basket is very limited and nothing you’d real want (I saw a couple Coors Lights in there). Service was really good with the cashier asking a few times if he could help and then talking to me about my selections and giving me good advice for the next good locals I should try. Everyone who worked there that afternoon was real friendly. We grabbed a couple sandwiches- both were excellent. I asked if there was a good park nearby and was given great directions to Greenough park, where we enjoyed the sandwiches and drinks. All in all, a real nice grocer with great service and a good selection of beer. Your best bet in the area.“ |

Beers were very tasty, and there were a few that were new for me. The airport is just across the road, so this is an easy stop if you’re flying in or out.“ |

The selection was a pleasant surprise, well organized. Plenty of local stuff, Idaho stuff, and even some oddities like a porter from Lebanon (the country). Staff were uber friendly. Small hipster groceries as well, sandwiches, coffee etc - kind of like a Starbucks on steroids with beer and better coffee. Worth a look for sure.“ |

Oh, and the bartender gave me a fresh plum, extra point for service. I can’t count that as points for Food, though, because not everyone got a plum, just me. Great place.“ |

Very lively on a sunny Friday afternoon, nearly every table full, but easy to get a seat at the bar. They were very dsciplined, not serving folks who were standing at the bar unless you lined up at either end - confusing for a few folks who didn’t know that particular rule. They had a dozen beers on offer, decent variety, but only served pints, in the much-maligned shaker glasses, but staff did give samples in little baby hefeweizen glasses. Change the policy on pints and they’d get a 5 for atmosphere. Fun place.“ |

Prices were decent, and they had a fair selection of local stuff and some interesting Belgians. Right around the corner from Old Post and directly across from Flathead.“ |
