“Bar on the platform of the Metro Station, so easily accessed. Large room with the bar at one end. Brickwork and distressed wood decor, relaxed ambience. Fine selection of craft ales. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. A must visit on a North Tyneside pub crawl.“

“First port of call on 14th April 2023, with Margie, Gordon and Janet. It’s 14:00 and has a few customers quietly supping their beers. 6 hand-pulls with a similar number of keg lines. Local brews rule the selection and all I had were in fine form. Liked the basic brick walls and concept. Great start to our day of drinking.“

“Visited 24/5/2018. Much bigger than the name suggests. Has a bar down the far end and good amount of seating. It's situated right on Monkseaton station platform (though do note it's a good couple of minutes walk to get up and over to the Newcastle central station bound Metro line). Good beer selection on offer, with locals well featured. A visit is recommended and it's only a few minutes down to the Dog & Rabbit and the delights of Whitley Bay.“

“Shabby chic, stripped back pub formed from the old station buildings in Monkseaton station. The small bar at one end provides 5 or so cask beers and 4 on keg with a small selection of cans/bottles. Gins and whiskies aplenty too. Range is good with a variety of styles. Local beers often dominate, but Thirnbridge, Bad Seed and other breweries further afield regularly feature. No food, but they do have some nice pork pies at lunch time. Atmosphere different throughout the day. Often quiet at lunchtime, but busy at evenings and weekends, even in the afternoons“

“On the platform of the Monkseaton Metro Station in you guessed it, the old left luggage room. Friendly, the young bar girl was a gem, and busy although still relaxed. Good place for people watching whilst drinking good beer. Range of casks and kegs. Within easy walking distance of Whitley Bay, well worth the effort.“
