Cambridge Wines (Beer Store)

“Nice little liquor store located next to the train station. Focus seems to primarily be on wine and whiskey but the small but well managed beer section did not disappoint. There was a good selection of sixers and bombers that matched the season. Beer is all the way in the back.“

“Met my sister and her husband and little boy here. The place was very clean and had good service. Food was very good. However, they put a DIPA in a pilsener glass, so that’s kinda a no, everything else seemed okay and on par to be a good beer restaurant. Authentic looking food and my steak sandwich was very good. I’d probably still go back.“

“This is the old "Side Door" cigar bar owned by the same people as the Famished Frog (at least the Side Bar was...and they share the same kitchen). I agree this was a nice addition to the Morristown craftbeer scene that was sorely lacking (with the exception of "End of Elm")...still a long ways to go for Morristown to become a destination craftbeer town (which it should be given it’s size and upscale character...not to mention easy access by train). Hops is doing a nice job so far...craftbeers are generally decent with a few standouts at any given time. I can’t help but think that they needed to change the décor more significantly to effect the persona of a really desirable or unique beer bar. The beer signs and tap handle displays are not enough. My suggestion is to divide the place into smaller areas...it’s currently too open...which was fine for the previous venue...but not inviting enough for a noteworthy craftbeer establishment. I hope they make further improvements and do well.“

“There’s not much to choose from in the area but this place is a great hidden (literally) find. It’s in the back of the Farnished Frog. Not sure if they are under same ownership, but they share space. Used to be a cigar bar so cool place. Great selection of brews, including a few east coast breweries. Check them out!“

“Great new gastropub in Morristown in the old Hennessey’s location by the train station. They’ve done a really nice job of converting the space into a great little restaurant and bar with an attractive lounge area. The initial beer offerings although not vast...are quite acceptable...especially when you consider they are great compliments to gastropub food. I had a Lagunita IPA followed by a Kane Overhead double IPA (always glad to see local NJ beers featured...they mentioned they were looking into Carton too). This place is definitely worth checking out...love the chicken & waffles...and the fact that the men’s room comes "before" the ladies room...very rare...LOL!“

“Really not a bad place...one of the better ones in their NJ chain. The beer selection ranges from pretty decent to at times really quite good. The food is decent bar food and the people and service have usually been good when I visited. At times they’ll have live music which is nice. The place can get quite crowded at times. I have frequented many of their locations and I would rate them as a middle of the pack craft beer experience. Good choice when a more hard core craft beer bar is unavailable.“

“Had not visited in years as I no longer live in the area. I remembered it as an overcrowded BMC/Imports place. However I visited during the afternoon and it was pretty empty. The beer list has grown to include predominately craft beers from Sam Adams, Flying Fish, Sierra Nevada, Troegs, Stone, DFH, Brooklyn and many others. Most of these selections were standards and seasonal releases. Seemed like a solid option in MoTown...however I imagine it still gets way to crowded in the evenings and it is a small space.“

“For Morristown its a pretty decent place. Food is good but everything is heavily overpriced in the area as it is. Gets annoying on thurs-sat nights when all the kids spending money they don’t have go there. Girls looking for handouts is pretty annoying and its 5 deep to get service at any bar in town. Selection of beers is next to piss poor. Any bar with a $4 Coors light special is not where I wanna be.“

“In Newark for business and drove to Morristown on the way to airport. Very glad I did. Easy to find location in the middle of downtown. Steert parking. Remodeled building with bar in the middle right. Seating upstairs with tables for food. Friendly staff. Good tap selection of beers. Good drinkable beers with two very good beers. Good upscale lunch menu. I had the one of the lunch specials, Excellent. Well worth the trip and I will make it again.“
