“Now this is a weird place. As central as you can get in Motala, this purple-lighted bar has a good number of taps, carrying Swedish and foreign craft (from Brewski to Baladin), while functioning as well as the hotel restaurant if I remember correctly. The hype-leaning selection didn't thrill the esteemed gentlemen I was with as much as me, but uncommon Vreta beers are always a good thing to see on tap as well in my book. Not your typical craft beer bar clientele, though I did enjoy the presence of a beautiful samoyed half a meter away from me. No complaints about the staff - I would guess at least some are enthusiasts. Weird location of the toilet. This place probably serves an important function within the town, but I can see why it might rub some people the wrong way.“

“Visited June 2022 with beery friends. Placed in city center ( close to the bus station ). Lots of seatings inside as outside. Ok selection of beers on tap and a few in bottles / cans. Friendly service, a bit nightclub atmosphere, since the purple light, not the best for beer rewievs.. “

“This is the only real pub in Motala. Beerselection is great and The knowledge of the staff is great. Well worth a visit if you are in town.“

“Good place at the central square in Motala. 10 taps and maybe around 80 bottles as I visited. Taps were a bit boring but the bottles included lots of small breweries, including new local brewery Fors. Great service, definately the place to go if you ever end up in Motala.“

“By far the best beer place in Motala. Beautiful location close to Göta Kanal. Belgian focus on the solid beer list. Great patio in the summer and the bar in the basement is really cosy. Devoted owner who loves beer. Worth a visit.“

“Outstanding selection in town. Danish, American, British and Swedish micros. Some Czech beers a well. The staff is very serviceminded though not so well educated... Good preces.“

“In central Motala. Standard sortiment for a Systembolaget in a smaller swedish city. Only special beers from Motala Brygghus. Renovated a few years ago.“
