“Visited on a Sunday later afternoon. The beer selection is in the left front corner of the store. The rest is dedicated to other things like wine, liquor, cigars, and so on. Most of the beer selection is in 4 and 6 packs, but there is a decent size selection for mix packs, just not everything is available that way. Service is decent. I was mostly left alone as I perused. I would definitely stop in again if I was in Murfreesboro again.“

“Visited on a Sunday evening. There was a wedding I attended here, so it was a bit of a special occasion and things may not be how they normally are. The draft list was pretty nice. Lots of interesting styles available. Other than the initial rush to the bar after the ceremony, the service was pretty good. I would be interested in stopping in on a normal occasion some day.“

“Liquor store with a nice beer selection. They also offer growler fills. The beer is probably 25% of the square footage but it’s a large store. Employees are friendly and knowledgable. I try to stop by anytime I’m in town.“

“Been here a few times, love the tap room. It’s in an old building with a lot of exposed bricks. Good beers and the usually have a food truck right outside.“

“It should be noted that my rating of Stones River Total Beverages is in comparison to other stores in Murfreesboro only. Let’s face it--It wouldn’t be fair to compare any store in a town of 200,000 to something like Binny’s in Chicago. That being said, Stones River Total Beverages is, hands down, the BEST beer store in Murfreesboro. They have the widest selection of both "standard" and high-grav beer, and the service is great. If they don’t have something you want, tell the staff, and they’ll see if they can get it for you. They’re friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they always have a beer expert on site--which isn’t always the case in liquor stores.“

“This is a fabulous store. My husband and family had been trying to find gerst yazoo beer. Robert was able to help us and many others. He is also great with suggestions for beverages and combinations. He is great and we say Thank You.“

“Great place to browse bottles while the significant other shops. A great selection for most purposes. TN stores can’t sell high gravity beers in grocery stores so they do have limitations, but those are statewide. There aren’t many places in town that allow you to build your own 6 or buy singles with the ease and comfort that World Market does. This is certainly the cleanest place to buy beer in the Boro. The staff knowledge is hit or miss. Some of them love beer, some just aren’t interested. The ones that do love beer know a lot. I’ve left this store with several recommended bottles that I ended up loving. They even do tastings some weekends and you can get free samples of multiple beers. You can’t go wrong with free beer. Someone was looking for Gluten free beer last week in the store; World Market carries Widmer Brother’s Omission brews. There is both the lager and pale ale. For gluten free beers they are really good. Plus they have all the ciders.“

“They have over 200 beers now, and just started getting in the fall beers. The Woodchuck Fall is like fall candy.“

“I have been here a few times. They have a decent selection of beer. Only negative would be they can only serve beer under 6%. I have always had great service, everybody there knows their beer. It is smokey, but it is a cigar bar, you expect that.“

“Located in the square, this is a local joint that is focused on two things- cigars and beer. Extensive list of session craft beers that include DFH, Yazoo, Terrapin, Schlafly, as well as European beers. They only have four taps, and they serve the beer in red hefty cups! Not a great way to serve beer, as I don’t think they have ANY glassware. Also- the bar is VERY smoky- but it is a cigar bar as well. Crowd seems to be mixed, but grows younger as it gets later. Good beer selection for M’boro, but not an optimum environment to enjoy craft beer. I did enjoy the visit.“

“Pretty nice little chill out spot- very college town looking. 100+ bottles, and the four taps i saw weren’t impressive. Bottles didn’t seem to be any rarities either, but lots of craft staples. Still, a great place to chill.“

“Huge selection of craft beer all under the 6% mark. Foreign and domestic with growler and gallon fills from their tap system. They have $10 gallon fills of PBR available. A must stop on the way out fishing/to the pool or on the way home from work. Open Sunday!“

“I don’t understand why this is considered a beer store - but it’s on here, I’ve been there, and I’ve got my two cents to give. Two aisles devoted to beer from around the world in singles. All under 5% abv. Lots of Left Hand and other greats. I always pop into this area when I’m stuck shopping with a female. I like that World Market has the beer section - it’s an opportunity for people who wouldn’t normally pick it up in a grocery store - to see craft beer as a new an interesting culinary art form to consider - but for beer geeks it’s nothing special.“

“Pretty nice store for Murfreesboro. Very cool that you can make a mixed sixer for $11 out of any thing in six packs. Have high gravity brews next door as well. What I really like was the growlers of Yazoo brews to go. Very cool little store.“

“Best place to get >6.2% in the Boro. Not much ambiance, just your typical mid size liquor store. The beer guy Andy is always friendly and will even hold back beers for you to pick up. They pretty much get the same beers as Frugal and Midtown in Nashville. Expect to find Belgian and European strongs, as well as domestics from Jolly Pumpkin, Victory, Terrapin, DFH, Schlafly, North Coast, Stone, etc. If you are in the area, it’s worth a stop and not very far off I-24.“

“This is the best place I have ever been as far as beer is concerned. they have a great selection of high gravity beers and regular beers. The wine manager Andy is by far the most knowledgeable person I have talked to about beer. Very friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. I saw the comments about higher prices, but for what you get, I think it’s worth it. I actually drive past another liquor store to get to Stones River.“

“Another one of those places you tell your wife or other half that you would be glad to go to with her but then you can disappear over to the beer area for a few selections of your own. An ok selection here. Some Bombers, 6-packs, 12 oz singles, Brewery variety packs, and store packed mixed 10 packs (one they call Beer of the World and the other is Summer Beer Pack which is full of hefe’s, fruity hefe’s, and other fruity beer all the women in the area are starting to go for). It’s all under 6% stuff. Prices are comparable or slightly lower than Stone River down the road ($1.89 for a single 12 oz on this visit). The service is always friendly and helpful but not overly beer knowledgeable. A few isles over from the beer you can get chocolate, candy, and spices from around the world which is kind of cool too!“

“When I first moved here 1 1/2 years ago, I was told Stone’s River beverage was the best place for microbrews. They do have the advantage of carrying higher gravity brews on the liquor side of their store, but for overall beer selection, the Beer Depot is #1. They carry Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, and other high quality and hard to find beers, such as the excellent Cantillion Rose de Gambrinus. Beer Depot has also started selling growlers of a few beers they have on tap. Nifty!“

“This place is very smoky. There are only 4 taps or so, but they are completely devoted to mircobrews. Bottle selection is rather extensive, especially for the area. There was a jazz band playing while I was here. The atmosphere is mildly sophisticated without being pretentious.“

“This place has beer, smokes, and porn mags. Pretty much the one stop for a party in the boro. I’ve probably never seen so many 6% abv. beers in one store in TN before. I was surprised to see Cantillon here. Prices are fair. My main concern would be with such a massive selection and the clientele shopping here, how old are these things? All the brews we picked up were just fine though. Apparently the place to go to get beer here.“

“kick ass beer selection with friendly and helpful service. new brews most of the time are offered. i’ve found that if it is available anywhere in mid-tn, you can find it here. the create-your-own option is nice too, as i don’t always want to commit myself to an entire 6 of the same. also, the prices are very reasonable. great location too.“

“The best bar in the boro. they have a great selection, including the occasional seasonals. the atmosphere is relaxing, though i still haven’t made up my mind how i feel about the jukebox issue. you can come in play some cards, dominoes, or darts; or you can just go grab a beer and relax...it’s very diverse. the great thing is that every now and then, they’ll have a tasting. service is friendly and fairly quick, unless it’s a weekend night. last call comes a bit early for the late night crowd, but other than that, liquid smoke has created a pretty kick-ass spot. the cigar selection is more than adequate, and the bathroom is unlike that i’ve ever seen before, especially in a bar. kudos for that. it’s defintely a frequented place for my friends and i. I just wish they had high gravities.“

“Decent selection, but prices are a little high. You can actually save money by buying "to-go" from Liquid Smoke if you are doing the 1 bottle thing. Most people don’t know you can buy like that from Liquid Smoke. :P“

“Friendly and knowledgeable, but sometimes contradicting. They helped me get setup kegging. I’ve seen prices increase there quite a bit though. Home brewing should save (some) money... but unfortunately does not with their prices. This is even after buying all equipment and not considering this in the price. I’m a little disappointed int his aspect. Online I guess is still the way to go unless you need it NOW.“

“There isn’t a better place to just go chill in the middle of the afternoon. They have a few hundred types of beer in bottles and a few select brew on tap. The eclectic nature of the place makes the ambiance close to the best in Murfreesboro. They also have a great assortment of smokes. Free internet on site. They are always friendly and have great prices on "to go" bottles. So, if you’re looking to try a bunch of different types of beer. I suggest getting a sampler bottle pack to go so you don’t have to pay bar prices.“

“Discovered this one on accident taking a short cut this afternoon near MTSU. This place has one of the biggest under 6% selections I’ve seen in TN so far. Big line up of Rogue’s, lots of locals and regionals, some nationals and globals. Prices seem to run about the same as the rest of the area. He will not let you mix you own sixer from every thing in the store but does have a selected area that you can mix sixers or buy single 12 oz’ers. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and happy to answer questions about the place.“

“One of the better selections in Murfreesboro (not saying much). Long, thin bar on the square so you can start here and walk to another few bars if you get bored. Not a smoker, but it appears to have a decent selection of cigars and cigarettes which can cause it to get pretty smoky. But hey, it is in the name so what do you expect. Small place so service is not usally an issue.“

“The selection here is about what one would expect for our beer starved area (due to stupid Bible belt regulations...). The prices are a bit high but they don’t have a lot of competition here in the ’Boro. They have a good selction though, not really any less than the Nashville stores. The liquor store side with the >6% beers has a lot to learn about beer as they have their very limited selection on a shelf by the window... in the sunlight. Yes that UV rich light looks nice pouring through the bottles but what does it do to beer? Skunked. It’s bad enough that Samuel Smith insists on packaging in clear bottles but then to have their imperial porter shelved in sunlight? Please shield the beer! Otherwise the liquor side has he t single malt selection in the ’Boro and a good wine selection.“

“This place is excellent if you are traveling on I-24 between Nashville and Chattanooga. Less than 0.4 miles from exit 78B to the store. Usual Tennessee store, split with beer and liquor because of the 6% law. The selection on the over 6% side has grown huge over the last few years thank to Andy Hite. He expects it to grow even more. The under 6% side is not a huge space but this guy has it packed in here. Huge selection, chilled or un-chilled, sixers ,single, or bombers on both sides. They do have a mix your own sixer section. The selection on both side is comparable to or better than any of the major stores in Nashville. Good cigar selection in a closet sized walk-in humidor. Watch the store web site for new arrivals and store sponsored tastings. The best part is that this place is only about 2 miles from my house and on my way home from work!“
