“Flying Goose is at a crossroads in New London. The place has a ski lodge feel that works. Food is solid, service is great and the beer is wonderful with a small, but excellent, selection. If you are in the area, definitely worth a stop.“

“Interesting place. Large. Big parking lot. Dining room had a great view of the mountains. I sat at the bar which had a great view of the taps. Twenty of their beers on tap, too many I think, judging by the quality, which was so-so. Flights of five 6 ounce pours, so that's a ton of beer. Service was a bit rough and got rougher when someone called in an order for 18 growlers. Who orders 18 growlers? Some other issues with the service also which I hesitate to put in writing. I had the friend haddock sandwich for lunch which was delicious. Prices were high. As I said, interesting place.“

“First time back after several years and it was much better than remembered. Sample many of their brews and all were good and some were excellent. Good selection of food that went beyond usual pub fare (though they had that too). Will definitely come back whenever in the area.“

“Located in a pretty location not far from exit 11 off of I-89. Easy to find. Stopped in for a couple of brews and a bite to eat. Horseshoe bar. Inside is a bit tacky with animal heads, sporting equipment and other junk hanging in the rafters above the bar. I suppose New Hampshire folks like this stuff. Seems to be a good local hangout. Bartender was attentive and very helpful. Threw in some samples that I didn’t even ask for. They had an enormous selection of about 17 different brews on tap. I decided on a dunkelweizen which was very good and then had a hefewiezen that was OK. Fish sandwich I had was ok, but not memorable.“

“I found this place via the BA directory and took the girlfriend here for dinner and beer tasting. I was surprised when all 15 beers active on their site were available to buy on tap. The staff was nice and after asking the hostess about the beer selection, she took us right up to the bar where there were 2 free chairs facing the long row of taps. I was surprised though to see so many people drinking Bud Light at this bar. I guess they sell other beers but why go to a brewery / restaurant and order anything but a beer made there? I tasted the 2009 & 2011 Barleywine and it was the first chance I had to show my girlfriend that difference aging can have on a beer. She ordered the Golden Ale. Overall, the tab was very cheap at $4 a beer for a pint and the food was delicious. I’ll be stopping by again.“

“Was not sure what to expect, this was a bit ’in the middle of nowhere’, but was pleasantly surprised. Parked the car and saw hop vines behind the pub (I talked to the bartender and found out that they brew a wet hop beer with them at harvest time). The bartender seemed well informed and was very friendly. The english IPA was probably an 8 out of 10, bit too hoppy for the style. The Belgian Single was great, bit spicy, great summer session beer. Roasted corn and pork soup was quite good as well. This place is worth a stop if you are in the area, I went about 30 min out of my way to go and was glad I did.“

“A great brewpub located in rural NH. Stopped by here for an early dinner on a Wednesday late afternoon. The bar was fairly empty. It is a small, cozy place overlooking the mountains. Lots of stuffed game and skiing knickknacks on the walls. They have an impressive tap list with some interesting offerings (they had a black IPA, saison, chocolate stout, and potato beer). The beer was very good, not one disappointment to be found. The food was excellent (Elk shepherd’s pie - so good!). Don’t skip this one - it was a surprise winner on my NH/VT trip.“

“Located in the beautiful NH mountains right off of 89. Easy to find. Great collection of old nostalgic items on the open beams and walls. Looks like an old hunting or fishing cabin. Service was good for a busy afternoon. We even got to speak to the brew master who is there nearly everyday. A friendly person. Good representation of several styles of craft beer. Would be worth a return trip if I’m ever in the area. I Loved the Hefeweizen! Had more then a pint.“

“Nice brewpub in New London nh. Visited on Columbus Day weekend, so a long wait to be seated. No big deal. Lots of windows offering an outstanding view of Mt. Sunapee. Lots of decoys and fishing suff on the walls. ot the kind of atmosphere I care for. Food was decent if not great. I choose to have a burger, which was delicious. They also have regular entrees. Prices were what you would find any where else. The 2 beers I had were quite good. I live almost 2 hours away, so I won’t be a regular, but if I’m in the area I will definetely come here again.“

“Cosy, homely, roadside place in the middle of nowhere. Visited on a Saturday lunchtime in April. Not exactly busy but enough punters that it didn’t feel empty either. More bikes than cars in the lot – don’t know whether it is normally popular with bikers. Sort of mountain cabin feel. Proper pubby atmosphere. 17 beers on tap. 5 in the sampler. Didn’t have time to do them all but the 5 I had were pretty solid, if not world-beaters. I wondered whether freshness might be an issue with so many taps at such an out of the way place but it didn’t seem to be a problem for the ones I tried. Fairly standard US pub food menu. Just had a snack – the (appetizer) portion of nachos was huge. Service was a little on the slow side considering they weren’t very busy. I’d call in again if passing, if only to pick up some of the beers I missed first time. Wouldn’t make a special trip though.“

“This place is quite nice, next to a steak restaurant (Four grills), decoy motifs abounding, loads of beers, 16 taps of goodness (included 3 years of the Isle of Pine BW on my visit). Fast service, close to the highway. Tried the soup (Rosemary and ribeye steak soup), very delicious. Decent price for sampler, 5 4 onces for 6$.“

“A big place with good food, good service and a decent selection that is not near anything. The bar area and porch are nice. The dining area has a fireplace. The beer is decent. Beer to go available. 13 of their own available usually.“

“We stopped for lunch, and found the food to be pretty good. Also delighted to find 12 beers on tap, most of which were decent or better. The service was above average. All in all, a very worthwhile visit.“

“I enjoy going to this pub. It has a certain rustic ambiance very similar to what one might see in an Applebee’s, but not as commercialized. Nicely decorated. The menu is fairly typical of places like this with lots of burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and so on. But they always have 7-8 brews on draft available. I don’t think the brews are as bad as previous reviewers suggested. Like many pubs, you can get a beer card and check off the ones you have tried. They used to feature live entertainment on Thursday nights but I don’t think they do that much anymore, which is shame, because I saw a few good acts there such as Aztec Two-Step. You can pick up growlers of any original recipe they sell on draft for $10.00 with a $1.00 refund when you return the empty growler.“

“Stopped here on our out east trip in 2004. From what I remember is that it was one of those places that my girlfriend and I hit the brakes hard and stopped on a whim. I had two samples and bought a glass and left. It looked really nice inside and the ambieance was good. The beers were not the best though. We didn’t do food.“

“Big wood house. Lots of windows makes for a nice natural light and view of NH’s mountains. Familial atmosphere, more of a restaurant really, under average beers do not convince you to recommend this place to your friends, but the fact that they have almost their whole lineup on tap at the same time can make it interesting for number hunters.“

“Faux-wood cabin motif to this family restaurant and local bar with a nice view but not much of interest within the four walls. Service friendly but not knowledgeable. Large tap selection with many different styles but none were particularly well made. Seemd to be problems with attenuation and/or oxidation in most samples. Food was mediocre though not bad. With such an out of the way location, I can’t say I’m in a rush to return.“

“Family restaurant in the middle of Nowhere, NH with a great view on the vast outdoors. Food was slightly below average for a brewpub, so not very good in general. Amazing tap selection (15 when we were there) makes it fun to try many styles at once and compare. In the end, most were tame but the barley wine stood out the most in the quality department.“

“Visited twice, about a year apart. Faux-northwoods atmosphere, not particularly well done; large and roomy, with a comfortable-looking bar...gets a point in ambiance for the breathtaking view of mountains all round. Food is adequate to decent, but certainly nothing memorable; beer varies from poor/fair to pretty decent, with the stronger styles worth a try. Overall, not worth going out of your way for.“

“A decent brewpub with a consistant line of beers, so consistant that two trips three months apart only saw one different beer on tap.Food is good quality, staff isn't usually very knowledgable about the beer.“
