“The social scene in Racers is off the hook. Everyone is friendly and jocial. They are there for the beer. Bring your fuckin’ own food- get a gyro next door. The action is good either at the bar or out back on the patio. The ambiance is dark inside and wide open patio space with limited shading outside. Luv the place which I consider a dive, but the quality of the experience is really about the people. The beer tends to center around the hoppy family, and there is usually a malty option. Try to stick with the happy hour option to get the best prices. They tend to offer the higher abv in smaller glasses if you get the hh 3 for $7. Skip is the man and as a bartender runs a tight ship- don’t fuck with him. Donna is another bartenter and sweety pie. All staff are friendly and keep things as they should, very cool.“

“Cannot say enough good things about this place. The selection is thoughtfully curated, the prices are reasonable, hours are great, and staff is friendly. I always stop for a bottle to tae home after having a few beers at Racer’s Cafe next door.“

“Just visiting the area last weekend and my Brother (a Local Towson) suggested this place to have a drink. Loved this palce. Stellar draft selection focusing on regional and exceptional micros. Had a special, two pints for $5.25. Why not! Good pricing and friendly service. And an ajoining liquor store? Brilliant! Great experience overall. Yeah, maybe a touch run down, but I like to call that nostalgic.“

“Small bar with good beer. Limited number of taps, but they utilize them well: one macro and the rest good micros. They put what they have up on a large board, which makes ordering easy and fast. The place is a little run down and I had some problems with the service, but if you like beer, are in the area and looking for a drink then try here.“

“Place has a definite beat down dive bar aspect to it. They do have quality brews on tap, cheaply. Peanuts and other snacks in a big 50 gallon drum. Spent many a college night drinking cheap quality drafts. The liquor store next door is quality. they even have hard to find micros in kegs with the appropriate taps and gases. The Ravens pre-game is pretty solid.“

“Racer’s has a great rotating selection of seasonals, regional brews and old stand-bys at affordable prices. You can catch the game on TV while eating the free snack food (serve yourself out of the barrels) or order from local restaurants from available delivery menus. If you like what you’re drinking or prefer something to take home, the adjoining bottle shop has one of the best selections in town. This cafe is all about the beer.“

“One of my favorite places, very informal and relaxed alot of taps with alot of good seasonals. Very very cheap ($2.14 a beer) last time I was there. Free snacks. I wish I was still a local.“

“I really enjoy this place and long to go back. Think there's 18 taps which rotate and thus are referred to by number. Great deal on ordering four 10 oz beers. Peanuts and snax gratis. What more could you ask for?“
